Kittie Announce New Lineup, Photo Available

Band Photo: Kittie (?)
According to the London Free Press, Canadian metal band KITTIE have announced the details of their new lineup. Joining guitarist/vocalist Morgan Lander and drummer Mercedes Lander are two new members — guitarist Tara McLeod, formerly with Strathroy, Ontario area band SHERRY, and bassist Trish Doan, who played with London, Ontario rockers HER and is a Sheridan College student. The revamped group (view photo) will make its live debut at Call the Office in London, Ontario Thursday night (Sept. 29). The four rockers have been rehearsing daily at KITTIE's London base.
Doan and McLeod join a band that has sold hundreds of thousands of CDs, played hundreds of club gigs and been part of Ozzfest. None of those hits are recent, which is plenty of reason for KITTIE to start reconnecting with its fans. KITTIE fans follow the band online and soon will have a downloadable EP — "a new taster," the band said — to introduce new material.
KITTIE's other dates include a show at Chicago's Windy City Invitational metal fest on Saturday (Oct. 1). The band last played Call the Office in June 2003. Before that, it had opened for U.S. band SLIPKNOT at another London venue in April 2000.
"Every time we do play here, we want it to be special," Morgan Lander said.

Kittie seems to the THE band people love to hate. I'll be the first to admit that they're FAR from groundbreaking, but is what they do any more unlistenable than say, that steaming pile of an album called St. Anger? I've seen Kittie twice and each time they put on a helluva show. Hopefully THIS incarnation will manage to last for more than one album. And if not, maybe Morgan and Mercedes should really think about doing something else.

hopefully this lineup change will make them respectable, their prior stuff was out right pathetic, they definitly need help in the songwriting department, but until they put out any material they will be the chick band that everyone wanted to succeed but never cut it

As I lay dying
blood seeps from my rists
the christening stars
shine upon my body
the sound of souls crying
soothes me somehow
I see a shadow dancing
it's dancing upon the grass
whilst laying in an empty field
it floats towards me
i lay frozen
anticipating...
my eyes close uncontrollably
the shadow begins to touch me
carrassing the pale skin
on my thighs
it moves on top of me
i feel "him" spreading my legs apart
i lay there mesmerized
i see nothing but black
"he" moves himself into me
slides in and out
so easily
im not able to move my body
i feel the pressure build
im about to explode
i open my mouth to scream
no sound follows
im able to open my eyes
I see nothing but fire,
horrific souls screaming
they point for me to look
I look
there sits Satan
laughing at me
he opens his mouth, smoke follows
and says, "you just got f***ed by
death, little whore, you must stay
and serve me for all eternity"

Hey Twist, how's it going? Thats some pretty dark stuff, It kind of feels like part poem, part song and part story...Just don't get too upset if some a$$hole makes some vicious remarks about your work as their are many people who come here just to provoke people.

Talena Atfield was somewhat attractive and a yes, a very sloppy bassist.... but not the physical female ideal (IMHO) like Lisa Marx, a much better guitarist if you've heard her previous band.
Meh,
I'm done with even giving Kittie some measure of my concern as far as seeing the fairer sex succeed in metal. My interest has shifted to Draconian and Lacuna Coil....Which ofcourse are 1000 times better than Kittie at their absolute most impressive plus you get the split personas of a male and female vocalist.

How could I forget Arch Enemy?!?!?!?.....
But when I think female metal vocalist, I want to hear clean vocals more than death to be honest....When women do the death vocals some justice it's really impressive but to augment that, they should have clean vox nailed too.
