Gus G. Shares New Song Featuring Matt Barlow
Internationally acclaimed guitarist, composer, and Firewind mastermind, Gus G., has released his fifth solo album, "Steel Burner." Marking his first solo offering in five years, the record delivers a blistering fusion of modern instrumental metal and carefully curated vocal collaborations with some of heavy music’s most legendary voices.
To herald the album’s arrival, Gus G. has dropped a powerhouse new single and accompanying video for "Dancing With Death," featuring the unmistakable, commanding vocals of former Iced Earth and current Ashes Of Ares frontman, Matt Barlow. An epic metal track with a contemporary edge, "Dancing With Death" explores the dark, gripping theme of addiction. You can check it out below.
Gus G. comments: "My new solo album has finally arrived and now it’s yours! To celebrate this big day, I wanted to drop yet another new video, this one from my collaboration with the one & only Matt Barlow of Iced Earth & Ashes of Ares fame. Matt’s vocal style is unique and will definitely remind you of those 90s Iced Earth vibes. But make no mistake – this is a power metal track with today’s energy, aggression and passion, forged in the here and now, and one that hopefully will stand the test of time. Enjoy!" More...
Forbidden Cancels European Tour Dates
American thrash metal veterans Forbidden has announced that they have decided to cancel their planned tour of Europe this Summer, which was set to feature headline shows and festival appearances. A statement from the band reads as follows:
"We regret to inform our fans in the U.K. and the rest of Europe that Forbidden won’t be able to make it overseas for the scheduled June dates. Instead, we are going to focus on putting the finishing touches in the planning & promotion on our forthcoming debut album for BLKIIBLK and preparing to unleash the new music later this year.
"Of course we will be back to rage with our fans soon enough. You’d better believe we will be on a mission to make it up to each and every one of you. By then, it will be in support of the first new Forbidden album in SIXTEEN YEARS!

Evildead Shares "F.A.F.O." Music Video
American Thrash Metal masters Evildead released a new video today. The song "F.A.F.O." was also included on their latest studio album "Toxic Grace".
"Due to unforeseen medical issues I experienced, including open-heart surgery and an aortic valve replacement, we had to cancel our 2026 European tour plans," said Rob Alaniz (drums). "However, after four months of recovery, I‘m back—100% and feeling better than ever at 60 and counting. I‘m looking forward to our next gigs and can‘t wait to get back out on the road."
"We had to take some time out a few months ago, and we were uncertain how long Rob would be away from the drum kit. This was a primary factor in canceling ’Headbangers Open Air Festival‘ in Germany," said Juan Garcia (guitars). "We‘re happy to report that EvilDead recently returned to the stage for a short live set at a private event, and it was great to be back performing these classic songs. We‘re excited that our reissues are once again available on vinyl, CD, and streaming platforms. We also recently filmed a video for the song ’F.A.F.O.,‘ from our latest album, 'Toxic Grace,' and will be announcing a few exclusive West Coast shows for later this year — stay tuned."
"Thanks to all our loyal fans, old and new! We hope you enjoy the old school 'F.A.F.O.' music video. We look forward to bringing you new music and live performances in the near future. God bless you all and God bless this planet." - Phil Flores (Lead Vocals) More...
