Alternative Metal Band Disenfutured Premiers Video For "MIST" Exclusively On Metalunderground

New Jersey based alternative metal band Disenfutured, premiers their second video for "MIST," a horror punk blitzer loosely inspired by Silent Hill and The Misfits for their much anticipated self-titled debut album to be released April 10th. An album release show is planned for same day in Belmar, New Jersey.

The album, recorded by Zack Miller (Ex-Gel), is a robust blend of complementary influences, mixing contemporary hardcore a la End It and Angel Du$t with the more experimental sound of the late 80s and early 2000s like Mr. Bungle and System of A Down.

Emerging between the Jersey Shore and Hub City alternative metal unit, Disenfutured combine elements of hardcore, black metal, indie rock, and more on their self titled debut record. Recorded at Landmine Studios (Lifeless, Year Of The Knife, Queensway) by Zach Miller (ex-Gel), the album combines the pummeling aggression of hardcore contemporaries like End It and Pain Of Truth, while simultaneously embracing melody andbaroque classical arrangements.

Drummer Nico Agostini had this to say about the track:

“MIST” started as an experimentation with old school metal, fast punk, and raw garage production. The lyrics draw from the imagery of Silent Hill to paint images of guilt and despair, tackling complicated and bittersweet relationships with loved ones. Vocally, we wanted to contrast unsettling, breathy, and violent delivery, such as “turn” and “writhe,” with the apathy and tiredness of “we both know this road” and “please go home.” This song’s unsettling and adventurous intro/interlude juxtaposed against the punk sections serve to further the haunted and conflicted sentiment, with the outro and payoff being a highlight of the album for us."
