Korn's Fieldy Organizes "A Song For Chi"

As you may know, Chi Cheng, bass player for the Deftones, is currently in a semi-conscious state following an automobile accident in Santa Clara, CA on November 4th, 2008. Chi is slowly making progress but he needs your help.

Fieldy has organized an amazing cast of musicians from Machine Head, Metallica, Korn, Hatebreed, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Sevendust and more to record an epic song for Chi.

You can help support Chi and his family by heading over to the A Song For Chi site where you can download your free copy of the song, watch the music video and make a donation. 100% of your donation will go to Chi and his family to help cover his ongoing medical expenses.

Sevendust Drummer To Fill In For Motley Crue

Motley Crue has announced that drummer Tommy Lee has injured one of his hands recently and as such, is currently unable to perform his role as the drummer of the band. A message from the band reads as follows:

"Mötley has always been an interesting animal. The magic is somewhat unstoppable because it is what it is, it’s Mötley. An incongruous mixture to quote my digital dictionary. Even when accidents happen, we pull it together, even if only by pulling a horseshoe outta our Mötley ass.

"So to get to the point, yes Tommy (Lee, drummer) messed up his hand pretty bad, and yes accidents do happen and yes frustration does happen to everybody including Tommy who would rather play drums (even with a damaged hand) than just about anything in the whole world. But following doctor’s orders for a few shows is what we have to do right now ( or cancel shows ). We all wanna say we're sorry Tommy has to sit out a couple shows, But we hope to have him back up on the drums ASAP. Until then, he is at all the shows, jumping around, helping out with vocals and playing piano ever so lightly on 'Home Sweet Home'.

"Now to the hero of the day… Mr. Morgan Rose, the monstrous drummer from SEVENDUST. Morgan flew out with only minutes to go before there were no flights left from Atlanta. He came charging in like a knight in shining armor, drum pedals and sticks in hand, stepping onstage and pretty much nailing the show top to bottom first time out. I think Morgan needs a standing ovation for his dedication to kicking ass and helping not only Mötley Crüe out, but the road crew and everybody else out here whose lives would been effected. Thank you bro.

"As for now, Mötley Crüe is a five-piece band… making history, one injury at a time... hahhaha..."

Sevendust Working On New Album

Sevendust has issued the following announcement about working on a new album:

"Hello everyone,

"Well we just wanna say thank you to all our friends out there, as we've said we have friends not fans, for supporting us and being so amazing to us over this album cycle. We're back to the original line up, gotten the chance to do some amazing tours with bands we love, finally got over seas to Europe to finally meet some very patient and loyal 7dusters. Your guys were so incredible and we can't wait to make Europe a regular stop for us from now on. All the things we've heard about how passionate and loyal you are from our friends in other bands was right on and we can't explain the joy we had playing for you in the small places and playing the festivals to a lot of crazy ass people. We're very thankful for all of you.

"We also had a chance to play Iraq for the men and women serving there and there are truly no words to say how amazing that trip was for us. Granted it's no tropical paradise but we loved meeting you, seeing what you deal with daily and seeing your commitment. We love all of you and get home safe to your families.

"OK so now it's time for us to focus and start writing the new 7dust record. We know there's a lot of expectations on this record and we have all the faith in the world that it's gonna be a serious 7d record. We embrace the pressure of it and have full intentions on ripping peoples heads off with this one. We're back at full force, we're closer to each other than ever and we will not release this thing until it's undeniable. More...

Nancy Grace Links Sevendust Song To Caylee Murder

Nancy Grace has somehow linked the Sevendust song "The Past" to the alleged murder of Caylee Anthony.

On her show recently, Grace hinted Sevendust might be indirectly responsible for murder. She was highlighting the song, "The Past," alleging that Casey Marie Anthony may have used the song as inspiration to allegedly murder her daughter Caylee Anthony in Orlando, Florida when the girl was reported missing on June 16 of this year.

A statement by the band was released and reads: "After hearing the news that our song 'The Past' was a topic of discussion on the Nancy Grace show yesterday, we would like to elaborate. The song was written as a song of hope. A song with positive message. to look back on your life and reflect and to feel good about getting through the rough times that everyone goes through, the roller coaster of life so to speak. We regret that we've been linked to the horrible subject involving the disappearance of little Caylee Anthony. Most of us have children and have been saddened by the story from the beginning. We pray for the safe return of this beautiful young child and wish her family strength."
