TOTA Launches Crowd Funding Campaign
Pennsylvania metal act This Or The Apocalypse has launched an Indiegogo campaign today to try and stay on the road. The band is currently between tours supporting recently released LP, "Dead Years." Check out details on the crowdfunding campaign right here. The band also comments:
"We are This Or The Apocalypse, an internationally touring band from Lancaster, PA. On our way home from our 30th US tour at about 3:00am our van lit on fire and we broke down at a rest stop an hour away from home. After waiting 8 hours we found someone to pick up and our trailer up and take us home while our van was towed to a garage.
"After inspecting the van we were notified that it was far beyond repairable. For any of you who have never followed us in the past, last winter we broke down in Canada and spent over $3K rebuilding our fuel pump, which took over a week. We spent that week hopping from trains, vans, taxis and fans cars from show to show so that we didn't have to cancel any dates on the tour. More...

This Or The Apocalypse Releases New Music Video
This Or The Apocalypse has debuted a music video for the track "Hate The Ones You Love," taken from latest record, "Dead Years." Check out the video below.
Directed by veteran director David Brodsky, the video is about a group of young post-society survivors unable to cope with the task of killing a stranger who wanders into their territory. All of their coping mechanisms start to unravel. Front man Rick Armellino comments:
"Hate the Ones You Love was the first complete track that we knew would end up on Dead Years and it helped frame the rest of the album. The lyrics themselves are about how often I find myself mistrusting or even disliking people who remind me of myself, and what it's like to try and remain trusted to those you love when you can't accept who you are.
"Writing a script around the lyrical themes and acting for the first time seemed risky but the final product really matches what we are trying to do. Brodsky is an artist, I can't describe how cool it was working with him. Hope you guys dig it!" More...

This Or The Apocalypse Reveals Album Details
This or the Apocalypse has announced the brand new album "Dead Years" will be released on September 25th, 2012. "'Dead Years' is full of some of the most painfully honest material we've ever written," says front man Ricky Armellino.
This will be the band's first release since "Haunt What's Left," produced by Josh Wilbur and Lamb Of God's own Chris Adler in 2010. "Dead Years" was produced by Kevin Lankford and engineered by Andreas Magnusson. "The album features both some of the saddest, most melodic songs we've ever played and it also holds some of the angriest."
When asked what fans can expect, Armellino concludes: "It's about war and family, how we're really never unaffected by the world around us, no matter how hard we try to get away from it. We're very proud to finally get the opportunity to release it." More...
This Or The Apocalypse Signs With eOne Music
Lancaster, PA natives This Or The Apocalypse have signed a deal with eOne Music for North and South America. "On behalf of This or the Apocalypse Enterprises, I'm proud to let everyone know that our new American home is located at eOne Music. Please make a note on all outgoing packages. Honestly, I couldn't believe we would be making one signing announcement, so the third feels pretty surreal. It's humbling and a reminder that hard work pays off," says vocalist Ricky Armellino.
This will be the band's first release since "Haunt What's Left," produced by Josh Wilbur and Lamb Of God's own Chris Adler in 2010.The band is on tour with Norma Jean and will head over to China for a short batch of dates, click here for more info. The following press release was also issued by eOne Music:
"Originally releasing debut record 'Monuments' in 2007, the band has not slowed down since. With a few dozen tours under their belt with bands like We Came as Romans, Periphery and Born of Osiris the band is hardly new to the hands-on approach. Things like giving lessons while on tour and actively taking a role in their day to day is what sets This Or The Apocalypse apart.
"This or the Apocalypse is: Rick Armellino (Vocals), Jack Esbenshade (Guitar), Matthew Marcellus (Bass/Vocals) and Rodney Phillips (Guitar/Vocals)."
This Or The Apocalypse Issues Album Update
This or the Apocalypse has checked in with the following update about the band's upcoming new album and tour plans:
"To answer the lack of news on the new record: Rather than spending time trying to craft an update that skirts around the questions all clever, I'll put it this way: When we release an album, we tour it relentlessly.
"For this next record, we wanted to wait until we could dedicate a year of our life, uninterrupted, into touring these songs and shouting down stupid mosh fights. It'd be awesome to release songs and show everyone, but it's just not good for the release.
"Rick had a pretty heavy surgery, Grant had to leave the band for health reasons, Jack/Rod/Matt wanted to save up and buy new rigs of gear, and years of touring on our own check had added up to the point where being home a few months actually seemed like the healthiest and best decision for the band and our families.
"We're not just dudes that crash on couches and ask kids to send us 5 bucks on paypal. We haven't been completely inactive, either. Our recent Canadian headliner tour with TWWK and BOAK was an incredible time, despite our van tanking out for 5 days, we even made it to the front page of reddit.com finding rides from show to show.
"The waiting is done and we're finally lining up our home for the next record. This year is going to be huge for us: Expect some amazing art from our best friend Sol Amstutz, new songs with material that reach as far back as to satisfy fans of our 2005 self-released albums, music videos, funny rants from Rick, all of that. TOTA fans, we miss you guys. See you soon."

This or the Apocalypse is currently wrapping a string of U.S. tour dates with Impending Doom. The band has now checked in from the road with the following brief update about writing a new album:
"So this is our last US tour for a little while. In the mean time, we'll be writing an album at home. Fans of Monuments and Haunt each get stoked, it's going to be a mix of old, new, and a bunch of stuff I don't think anyone's expecting."
