Primal Fear Premieres "One" Music Video
While the world remains a restless place, metal commando Primal Fear is among the most reliable constants in these insecure times. Supporting their 2025 success album "Domination" on stages worldwide with a second European leg kicking off in London, UK on March 11, the band warm-up their engines with a new track called "One" today. The straight-forward anthem calls upon mankind to stand together instead of feuding each other, and was recorded during the "Domination" sessions. Combining hard-hitting riffs and the group’s melodic trademark approach masterfully, the single is in no way inferior to Primal Fear’s celebrated current opus!
Bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner states: "‘One’ is a continuation of the 'Domination' atmosphere. A massive riff, true PF melodies, a driving groove, and Ralf’s characteristic vocals. It’s like a teaser for the second leg of our European tour as well as our upcoming South American run. Our cover artist, Death.Milk.Designs, has created a killer video clip with a collection of awesome scenes. Enjoy listening & watching the video, we're incredibly excited for the next part of the tour!" More...
Primal Fear Debuts New Lyric Video
"I Am The Primal Fear" is the perfect track to mark the release of German metal force Primal Fears new album, "Domination." Out today via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), the 13-track record is a powerful statement of the band’s legacy and a showcase of their unmistakable sound.
A future fan favourite and live anthem in the making, "I Am The Primal Fear" kicks off with a burst of solo drumming before the full Primal Fear engine roars to life, unleashing thunderous riffs and soaring melodic leads. The verses feel like an intense showdown, with vocalist Ralf Scheepers delivering a fierce performance, driven by the relentless rhythm section of bassist Mat Sinner and drummer André Hilger. Adding to the firepower is the band’s new guitar dream team, Thalìa Bellazecca and Magnus Karlsson, trading off with precision and power.
The intense call-and-response dynamic builds to a powerful, no-holds-barred chorus that sends a clear message: despite a few setbacks over the years, Primal Fear never considered calling it quits. The eagle was never gone, it was simply gathering strength, ready to soar once again and shake the metal world with an album that confidently claims its place among the top tier of heavy and power metal.
"Again, outta my way, I am the Primal Fear! No one can stop me and I'm gonna hunt you tonight, I'm your worst nightmare whenever you are trying to fool me!” states Scheepers. More...
Primal Fear Drops "Far Away" Music Video
Commanding, fierce, and & triumphing since 1997 - there’s no better way to describe Germany’s premier power metal band, Primal Fear. The band have just unveiled details about their upcoming album "Domination," set to drop on September 5, 2025 via RPM.
To celebrate this announcement, the lead single "Far Away" has officially landed on streaming platforms worldwide. Packed with all the signature elements of a classic Primal Fear anthem - soaring melodies, thunderous drums and bass, and a blistering twin-guitar solo - the track also carries a powerful sense of yearning, brought to life by Ralf Scheepers’ unmistakable vocals. Filmed at Dennis Ward’s Kangaroo Studios in Karlsdorf-Neuthard, Germany, where the "Domination" recording sessions took place in late 2024, "Far Away" is also available now as a performance-style music video on YouTube.
Scheepers explains the meaning behind the single: "It’s an expression of faith and trust, no matter where or what. We all know this feeling of missing someone so much, not being able to see or hear him/her every day - especially as musicians whilst touring."
Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, Primal Fear ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After "Code Red" [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as "Domination" makes clear, no obstacle is too great for Primal Fear's powerhouse songwriting trio - Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who also rejoins the band’s live line-up after several years away.
From the hard-hitting opener "The Hunter" and first single ‘Far Away,’ to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem "Tears Of Fire" and the epic ballad "Eden" - featuring a surprise guest appearance by Ad Infinitum's Melissa Bonny - "Domination" delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like "Scream2 and "Crossfire," and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer "A Tune I Won’t Forget," and it’s clear: Primal Fear aren’t here to reclaim the crown - they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty. Primal Fear Announces New Album "Domination"
Spanning more than 25 years of pure heavy and power metal, Primal Fear have face numerous challenges since their formation in 1997. Despite these obstacles, the band have repeatedly risen from their lowest points, like a phoenix from the ashes. After a recent line-up change, which saw Thalìa Bellezecca join on guitar and André Hilgers on drums, the group are now in the final stages of completing their upcoming 15th studio album, "Domination," which is currently being recorded. "We've entered the studio and we can choose from a pool of about 25 songs! We're absolutely happy!" smiles founding member Mat Sinner (bass, vocals).
Produced by Sinner and co-produced by Ralf Scheepers & Magnus Karlsson, the new offering will be mixed and mastered by the group's confident partner Jacob Hansen at his Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark by the end of this year.
Long-time guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who has recently returned to the Primal Fear live touring crew, is once again a vital part of the creative process as well. He adds: "I can't wait to hit the stage with Primal Fear again! It's going to be an incredible ride! We're going to create something truly special together, both live and in the studio, and I'm so grateful to share this journey with all you metalheads! Metal is forever!" More...
Primal Fear Shares "Cancer Culture" Lyric Video
Fans of German metal commandos Primal Fear, listen up - "Code Red" is (almost) here! As the band's critically lauded studio album is about to be unleashed upon the world tomorrow -- Friday, September 1, 2023 -- via Atomic Fire, followed by part 1 of a supporting European tour comprising 8 German/Swiss shows, they have prepared a final appetizer before their listeners can finally dive into the new offering. Accompanied by a captivating lyric video created by Ingo Spörl (Hard Media,) Primal Fear presents "Cancel Culture," a track about a special topic that has been heavily discussed in recent years.
Producer/bassist Mat Sinner says: "There are countries where you just disappear if you speak your mind. These are intolerable conditions. But I'm not backing down. I've always been a rebel; I don't want to conform. And I don't have to play in certain countries either. It's that simple."
"The way the culture of having discussions with each other has gone down the drain, has become unbearable. People tend to have no more respect for each other and that's a dangerous development and perspective. It's the same sad development with all these 'keyboard warriors' out there who hide behind a made up user name to release their hate, jealousy or frustration. I will never take this as a 'Welcome to the Internet' invitation, it's simply a NO GO!" adds front-man Ralf Scheepers. More...
Primal Fear Shares "Deep In The Night" Video
Can you hear the sirens howling? "Code Red," the highly anticipated new offering by German metal commandos Primal Fear, will finally be unleashed upon the world in 6 weeks! Following the release of celebrated first track "Another Hero," the group has shared a second new track entitled "Deep In The Night" today. The raging yet stomping song is nothing but a massive statement for all human beings that have lost faith in mankind or other people while underlining that there's still better times awaiting. Ubik Media, who also produced the music video for aforementioned hit song "Another Hero," have once again greatly caught the atmosphere of the song; shot at Stuttgart, Germany's Im Wizemann venue, where Primal Fear will kick off their release tour with support from special guests The Unity (all dates can be found below!), the result can be viewed over on YouTube.
Singer Ralf Scheepers adds, "Finding out to being cheated is one of the worst experiences for a young man or woman. Unfortunately, it happens to almost everyone of us in life and if not, I hope it never will! But one thing is for sure: If it happens to you, it will definitely help to make the cornea around your heart grow even more. It affects your trust and if you take it too personally, you will probably never be able to trust anyone again. Nevertheless, there are fortunately always people who penetrate this cornea and reach your heart with their beautiful souls." More...
Primal Fear Releases "I Will Be Gone" Video
Last week, German power metal veterans Primal Fear released a new, five track EP entitled, "I Will Be Gone." The band has now posted a music video online for the title track, featuring former Nightwish vocalist Tarja Turunen. You can check it out below.
"There were three famous vocalists on our final wish list," Mat Sinner comments. "That it was Tarja who got involved in this song is a matter of pure joy for all of us. Working together on the song and video was relaxed and professional – a great experience also because Tarja’s and Ralf’s voices go together incredibly well. Now, we can expand the ‘Metal Commando’ saga with a unique chapter. We’re all really proud of this single."
The Finnish icon Tarja Turunen can only agree: "I was very happy to receive the invitation to take part in Primal Fear's beautiful song ‘I Will Be Gone’. We started our careers nearly at the same time many years ago, and finally got a chance to work together. I love the song and personally it helped me to stay connected and rock again, even if just at the studio this time. I really hope that people will like this collaboration and that it will bring them joy especially during these difficult times we are living through at the moment."
The track "I Will Be Gone" showcases Primal Fear's mellow, bittersweet side. The song, fragile and touching, gets an altogether new and deeply melancholic vibe with Tarja’s unbelievably emotional performance, showcasing a different facet of Primal Fear. Yet, it’s not the only gift they deliver on this 5-track sensation - "Vote Of No Confidence" is an all-new, previously unreleased beast of a song. Clocking in at over six minutes, this storming, furious anthem gives a brilliant glimpse of things to come. Previously only available as bonus tracks on the limited Metal Commando digipack, three more tracks complete this release; enchanting guitar instrumental "Rising Fear," massive mid-tempo smasher ‘Leave Me Alone’, and heavy metal monument "Second To None," making "I Will Be Gone" so much more than just another off shoot of a successful album. It's great, because Tom was a part of the song-writing and the basis of the song was made in my studio. Ralf made the lyrics, perfectly interpreting all the emotions and with a really strong chorus. Far away from home, in a shady plane somewhere between Peru and Bolivia, thinking about home ….. a strong combination of powerful guitar riffs, awesome melodies, groove and a great hook!" More...
