Amon Amarth To Headline Summer Breeze
The Summer Breeze festival organizers have issued the following announcement about confirming Amon Amarth as a headliner for the festival's 2012 edition:
"Behind the 24th door of our Advent Calendar there's none other than our favourite vikings AMON AMARTH, who are now confirmed as the second headliner for the 15th SUMMER BREEZE Open Air beside Subway To Sally.
"It's almost incredible the way our Swedish friends have enjoyed a continued rise to the top of the scene. Top-ten chart entries, headliner slots on all major festivals, sold-out tours, enthusiastic fans everywhere – by now Mr Johan Hegg and Co. have become real stars, but they still have their feet firmly planted on the ground, because they haven't forgotten where they started. Deathstars Announces New Drummer
Swedish death glammers Deathstars are getting ready for the release of their new video "Metal" and their "Greatest Hits on Earth" collection, to be released on November 4th, 2011.
The band is also now presenting new drummer Vice (aka Oscar Leander/CRESCENDOLLS). Vice replaces Bone W. Machine who split ways with Deathstars in 2010. "I'm really excited to be a part of Deathstars and I really feel that my drumming complements Deathstars music in a perfect way," says Vice.
Nightmare Industries adds: "With this addition to our band our recordings and live shows will deliver more energy than ever before. We are really pumped up about the future!"
Deathstars will also be touring with Rammstein in November and December. The band's upcoming shows are as follows:

Swedish band Deathstars will release the new single "METAL" via iTunes on October 14, 2011. The song is one of two new tracks on the forthcoming best of compilation "The Greatest Hits on Earth," which is scheduled for release on November 4, 2011 through Nuclear Blast Records.

OBITUARY recently shot a video for the song "Evil Ways" with comic book stalwart and director Hart D. Fisher.
"Evil Ways" is the lead single from OBITUARY's new album, "Xecutioner's Return", which was released in North America on August 28 via Candlelight Records. The CD was mixed at Redroom Recorders and was mastered in June at Morrisound Studios in Tampa. The band once again worked with artist Andreas Marschall, who has previously created the art for "The End Complete" and the group's last record, "Frozen in Time".
Roadrunner Records has set a January 29, 2008 release date for a "best-of" collection from legendary Florida death metallers OBITUARY. Entitled, appropriately enough, "The Best of Obituary", the CD will feature the following track listing:
