Bloody Hammers Reveals New Album Details
Just in time for the most macabre season of the year, horror-occult-goth metal/rock fusers Bloody Hammers have announced a new horror punk-inspired full-length album! The 11-track offering, entitled "Songs Of Unspeakable Terror," will be unleashed on January 15, 2021 via Napalm Records and marks a new, eccentric chapter in the Transylvania County, North Carolina-based husband and wife duo’s musical story.
While it doesn’t stray too dangerously far from the sound listeners have grown to infectiously adore, the band’s latest full-length explores yet uncharted territory: retro-ized horror punk in all its gritty glory. This beastly record shouldn’t be confused as an all new direction for the band, though – these songs are a pandemic lockdown labor of love, a temporary foray into the unknown, while still remaining true to the Bloody Hammers sonic trademark.
Get a first listen for yourself, but beware – you’ve never heard Bloody Hammers like this! Today, the band has unveiled an inventive new music video for their first single, "A Night To Dismember" – a dark, swinging, hefty punk two-stepper with an earworm chorus that’ll have fans chanting along in no time. Bloody Hammers Posts New Music Video Online
Two weeks before "The Summoning" will be unleashed, Bloody Hammers release the third single and video "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" from the new studio album. The Transylvania County based duo centered around mastermind Anders Manga draws the listener and viewer once again in a sinister and dark surrounding, that no band can evoke better in 2019 than Bloody Hammers and their very own “Bloody Hammers Film Production”! Manga proves once more that he is the master of darkness!
Anders Manga on the video and the song:
"’Let Sleeping Corpses Lie’ was the first song I wrote for what has become 'The Summoning' album. I really liked the song so it inspired all the rest of the material. We had fun with the video and clearly reflects our love of classic British horror."
Bloody Hammers deliver their fifth studio album entitled "The Summoning" on June 26th 2019 via Napalm Records. More...
Bloody Hammers Streams "Gates Of Hell"
The new EP "The Horrific Case Of Bloody Hammers" is just over a week away from release (July 14th) and Bloody Hammers has opened the "Gates Of Hell" by streaming the opening track in the player below. The physical release is strictly limited to 300 copies.
"The Horrific Case Of Bloody Hammers" desends from the dark mountain peaks of Transylvania. Here somber-sacral organ symphonies slide over cruel hammering staccato riffing. Our master of horror is Anders Manga, who delivers a bombastic, powerful voice over his wife Devallia's sinister synthesizers. The ice-cold nostalgia of 70's b-list thrillers shoots through the veins directly into the heart. In "The Beyond" their piercing Gothic sound shifts to a sensual, The Cure-esque brand of pop. A soundtrack for the exploration of past lives
The track listing for the EP is:
1. Gates of Hell
2. Blood (see video here)
3. The Beyond
4. Vultures Circle Overland
5. All The Colors Of The Dark
6. The Bloodsucker Leads The Dance

Bloody Hammers Releasing Limited EP
Please welcome a new chapter in the mysterious world of Bloody Hammers: "The Horrific Case Of Bloody Hammers." This very special case is a webstore & band only release strictly limited to 300 copies and due out on July 14th, 2017.
This six song EP descends from the dark mountain peaks of Transylvania, featuring somber sacral organ symphonies that slide over cruel hammering staccato riffing. The master of horror Anders Manga delivers a bombastic, powerful voice over his wife Devallia's sinister synthesizers. The ice-cold nostalgia of 70's b-list thrillers and horror flicks shoots through the veins directly into the heart.
Check out a video for "Blood" below. Anders Manga states: "Ultimately, the song is about the quest for freedom from oppression in any form. Many people blindly accept oppression simply because they were told to, or out of fear of retaliation from family or eternal damnation. Some never question it, because they don't even realize they are being oppressed. If constant fear and threats prevent one from simply enjoying their life, then something needs to change. More...

Bloody Hammers Posts New Video
Bloody Hammers is a duo hailing from the mountains of Transylvania County, NC. BH was originally formed as a studio only project with vocalist/songwriter Anders Manga producing and recording all instruments.
Soon Anders decided to take the project from the studio to a real band by recruiting his wife Devallia to play keyboards and other local musicians for live shows.
In late 2013, Anders was approached by Napalm Records, resulting in a collaboration that saw the release of "Under Satan's Sun" the next year. Through the snowy winter of 2015, Anders began writing again, but this time took a much darker and atmospheric direction.
The band emerged from the winter with "Lovely Sort of Death," which is out now via Napalm. In celebration of the release, a new video comes online for the track "Lights Come Alive" - check it out below. More...

Album Covers Inspired By Movie Posters
Facebook community And Justice For Art and Metal Underground keep exploring the world of look-alike album covers. This time we're focusing on three artworks that are inspired (or keep a reasonable resemblance) with well-known movie posters. Were the bands and visual artists aware of this at the moment of creating the artworks or is it just a coincidence? Let's find out what they have to say... There will be more of these in future "And Justice For Art" episodes. Stay alert!
MESHUGGAH Vs. "ALIEN"
The first one is the artwork for Meshuggah's "Alive." In 2010, the infamous Swedish genre-bending band, decided to pay homage on the cover of their live CD/DVD to one of the most revered SciFi/Horror movies in history.
Drummer Tomas Haake took inspiration from the now iconic poster for the first "Alien" film and designed a cover that visually and conceptually praises the virtues of the original image, which features the Alien egg opening upside down and the unforgettable tagline "In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream."
In Meshuggah's case, Hakke changed the egg for the head of vocalist, Jens Kidman, and added the phrase "In Space No One Can Hear You Unless You Scream." This gives the whole effort, an humorous punch which is enhanced by the positioning of the lettering—pretty much identical to the original poster.
No doubt, the overall effect is quite satisfactory, especially because it comes from a band whose intricate music sometimes seems to come from outer space! More...
