First Bands and Dates Announced For MDF 2015

The first round of band confirmations have been made for Maryland Deathfest 2015. The thirteenth edition of the festival will take place in Baltimore, Maryland from May 21-24, 2015.

Dates that each band performs and running times will not be set until closer to the festival dates.

The organizers are satisfied with the venue situation this year and have decided to use the same set up next year. This means that Maryland Deathfest 2015 will use the Edison Lot (located at 545 N. High St) for the two main stages, Rams Head (located at 20 Market Place) will be used each night and will host death/black metal bands, and Soundstage (located at 124 Market Pl) will be used each day/night for grind/hardcore/punk bands. On Thursday, only Rams Head will be used.

Serpentine Path Streaming Full New Album

Breaking two years of silence since the release of a self-titled debut LP, today New York City-based morbid sludge metal band Serpentine Path unleashes second album, "Emanations," once again through Relapse Records.

Serpentine Path Streams "House Of Worship"

As the release of the sophomore LP from New York City's melancholic sludge metal faction Serpentine Path grows ever closer, with the disturbing "Emanations" now less than three weeks from its street date of May 27th, the band has leaked another song from the album.

Invisible Oranges and Signature Riff have also this week announced a record release show for "Emanations." Set to take place subsequent to the album's release on June 21st at The Acheron in Brooklyn, the evening will mark the second-ever Serpentine Path live performance, and is not to be missed for all seekers of grime, corruption and decimating amplification.

Relapse Records has just released the first single taken off the second LP from NYC morbid sludge metal act Serpentine Path. Check out "Disfigured Colossus" in the player below.

Serpentine Path Posts Preview Of New Release

New York death metal act Serpentine Path posted a preview clip of the band's upcoming new album "Emanations." Serpentine Path Recruits New Guitarist

Serpentine Path, featuring the full former lineup of Unearthly Trance and guitarist Tim Bagshaw (ex-Electric Wizard, Ramesses), is now gearing up to release the band's self-titled debut LP via Relapse Records on September 11th.

Today, fans have another opportunity to hear new music from the record as the band has partnered with Decibel Magazine to debut a new track entitled "Obsoletion." Check out the track via Decibel Magazine here.

Serpentine Path has another major announcement today and would like to officially welcome Stephen Flam (Winter) as the band's second guitarist. Flam will join the band for the first time on October 27th at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY. The show will feature the band playing alongside labelmates Tombs and 16.

Serpentine Path Signs With Relapse Records

Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of NYC doom-dwellers Serpentine Path (Tim Bagshaw - Guitars, Jay Newman - Bass, Darren Verni - Drums, Ryan Lipynsky - Vocals). The record label commented:

"A true pedigree of the doom underworld, Serpentine Path consists of current and former members of Electric Wizard, Ramesses, & Unearthly Trance.

"The band initially released their debut 7” Erebus, earlier this year via Parasitic Records and recently wrapped up recording their self-titled full-length debut, set for a fall 2012 release via Relapse. The album was recorded and mixed by bassist Jay Newman at The Humanless Compound in NYC."

Serpentine Path commented on the signing: “Serpentine Path is honored to announce that our debut album will be released by Relapse Records! The four of us aim for nothing but the most uncompromising and intense death/doom metal songs we can possibly create.”
