Metal Videos To Get You In The Halloween Mood
Last year Dan from Autumns Eyes wrote up an article on the Top Ten Halloween songs in honor of that most metal of holidays. This year we’re taking a look at those metal songs with music videos to get you into the proper Halloween mood, and to start off we’ll head into the most crazy, over-the-top, and outright ridiculous videos to be found in metaldom.
Gwar – “Immortal Corruptor”
Anything involving both Halloween and metal pretty much automatically is connected with Gwar. The “Immortal Corrupter” video has got pretty much everything a good horror flick should have – monsters, skeletons, torture, disembowelments, and a flaming drum kit that shoots gouts of blood. If you already hate Gwar there’s no way this clip will change your mind, but nobody can claim it isn’t monstrously entertaining.

Police Issue Warning About Soundwave Festival
Police.nsw.gov.au has issued a statement warning music fans attending the upcoming Soundwave festival that police will be actively searching for drug users and dealers. The press release can be read below.
Police will run a high-visibility operation at this weekend’s Soundwave Music Festival, targeting illegal and anti-social behaviour.
Operation Koolah will run at the festival, to be held at Olympic Park from 10am to 6pm on Sunday (27 February 2011). Police from the Drug Detection Dogs Unit, Mounted Police and the Licensing Unit will make up a large component of the police presence that will be targeting anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related offences.
The NSW Police event commander, Detective Superintendent Greg Rolph, said that the majority of party-goers have enjoyed themselves within the law in recent years. Despite this we still see a small number of revellers who insist on participating in illegal and anti-social behaviour.
“There will be drug detection dogs as well as a large number of overt and covert police resources aimed at catching those taking or dealing illegal drugs.
“Recreational drugs can be incredibly dangerous and anyone bringing them to the event can expect to be caught.nn“We have worked together with event organisers and other interest groups to ensure the best possible plans are in place to make the event as safe as possible – it is now up to the patrons to do their part,” Detective Superintendent Rolph said.
Bands scheduled to appear at the festival include Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Dimmu Borgir, All That Remains, and many more. Additional details on the festival can be found at this location.
