As I Lay Dying Reveals More Details On New Album "Awakened"

As I Lay Dying premiered the new song "Cauterize" on Friday, June 22nd through Sirius Radio's "Liquid Metal." This Sunday, the song will debut on the As I Lay Dying website for free starting at midnight PST for 24 hours only. It will then be available for download on iTunes and online everywhere the next day. The artwork for the single can be viewed below.

As I Lay Dying is currently holed up in the Blasting Room with producer Bill Stevenson, who's also the drummer for Descendents (and has played with Black Flag); and mixer Colin Richardson. The group is putting the finishing touches on the new album "Awakened," due out September 25th on Metal Blade.

as a long time AILD fan i hate to say this but this new track sounds very formulaic...chorus is pretty sweet but everything else i feel like i've heard before :(

Kredd - no band will ever release a risky advance track, it's always a safe song. Similar to Lamb Of God with Ghost Walking, album should be killer though!
