Overkill Announces Details Of "The Electric Age"

New York thrash legends Overkill announced that the band's follow up to "Ironbound" will be entitled "The Electric Age." The album is scheduled for release on March 27, 2012 (North America) through eOne Music and March 30, 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records.

The cover art for "The Electric Age" is as follows:

In an interview with Jürgen Tschamler on EMP Merchandising's website, Overkill frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth had the following comments on the release: "Our new album is called, 'The Electric Age' and of course it's still exciting to record a new album. I think the key is knowing who you are and to know also how to create new things and not lose your roots."

Song titles for the album include "Electric Rattlesnake," "Wish You Were Dead," "Drop the Hammer" and "Save Yourself."

That's such a badass lookin' album cover. Respect for Overkill. I tried listening to them when Immortalis came out in 07 but I was only sort of feeling 1 song. I wanna hear some stuff off this album.

If the new one is even half as good as Ironbound it will be awesome! Ironbound was easily thier best release since the early 90's imo! These guys rank fairly high on my alltime favorites list. Such a great live band also.
