Well their lead guitarist has been exorcising his death/doom music in the supergroupish Vallenfyre, so maybe Paradise Lost will see the effect of that, who knows. They were playing "Draconian Times" in full for a DVD so maybe their next will be a return to that sort of sound.
I actually just watched an interview with Greg (the lead guitarist) and he said that while the new material has heavy guitars, it's kind of in a more traditional gothic style, but couldn't put his finger on what it sounds like exactly. Should be good whatever the case.

Really really looking forward to this album. Even more so than the new Ministry and Testament albums.
