I like Static-X, but they have a little problem with repetition...
The entire song sounds the same.

why have a solo album if it isn't any different? Let's all just consider this the newest Static X album.

So.......i guess he wants to be able to say he had a solo album for guitarist street cred even though it could've easily been a static x album and the guitars aren't more impressive than static x?

Why? Not having to deal with other band members, and not having to give them a cut of your profits.

I like Static-X however this is Static-X. It sounds the same, the structures are the same.......I don't mind the song but why of why call it a solo album???? Yeah whatever!

It does sound similar to the "Cannibal" era of Static-X, but anyways it's a sick track. And these long breakdowns are killer, something I always liked about Waynes song writing.
And I'm quite surprised with so many negative comments...
What did you guys expect???
Ballads? Acoustic songs? For him to take a complete U-turn?
Can't wait for the whole album to come out.

I think the only real differences are the vocal production, a bit more flangy and industrial sounding. The rest of the song sounds just like StaticX though, and that's not really a bad thing. I think this is just a move to get away from the band, keep the profits to himself like Cynic said.
