All these bands bring their own fan base. I personally listen to them all and am huge fans of 5FDP and Hatebreed, so seeing a concert with both of them together is amazing. But stop and think a minute, that maybe, the concert itself is a way to reach new fans that may not listen to Hatebreed but listen to Rev Theory. Bands have to do what they need in today's digital age and if that means crossing paths with bands that may not be as heavy to build their fan base by all means do it.

@BrandedCFH420 it's a good thing that you are not working in the music industry, especially not as a promoter. You would lose your a$$ on it. 5FDP headlines BECAUSE THEY ARE THAT BIG. It doesn't matter what YOU think or like. They have two gold records selling more copies than ATR, Hatebreed and Rev Theory's latest efforts combined. Also, you just insulted Jamie Jasta with your comment. Do you really think Jamie is stupid, and you should be his manager to tell him what's up? He knows what he's doing. He knows that this tour will be sold out. BTW. If i understand this right, Hatebreed is playing before ATR too.

Well, sorry for you snobs out there but I think it's great. 5FDP and Hatebreed are great guys with great music and I am psyched that they will tour together. Love both bands live. Be more positive people! WTF, do all of you have a freaking PhD in music and/or business management? Give me a break. You are soooo well-versed in your musical genres. Idiots.

Nice to see that some of you get it.....for the others, quit insulting 5FDP and Hatebreed by slammin' on one or the other band because your choice is "better". I highly doubt the people who are so derogatory are musical geniuses...more like minimum wage a$$holes who wish they were Moody or Jasta. Yeesh!

So hellspawn, just because a band goes mainstream, or gets radio play means they should be takin off the site?? 5FDP wasnt even mainstream 3 years ago, they were underground. Then again, there really isnt an underground anymore anyway. And im sure underground is only what you say right? Its f***ing metal anyway you look at it. You f***ing close minded d*** heads are worse than the fanboys on this site!

why does everybody get so worked up over this kinda crap?

Comes down to sales,Z. This Five Finger thingy pushes half a million units, bottom line. Hatebreed wants in on that market,Jasta aint no dummy! In fact,he's pretty business savy! I miss the days when Hatebreed played to a few hundred people in W. Mass supporting Satisfaction is the death of desire! But that was 14 years ago. Shadows Fall did some dates with these Five Finger guys also,i stayed away. Sad,but i saw Five Finger a year ago on Mayhem, and they drew thier biggest response from a 35 year old Bad Company song! Brother ES, it was a Conservation Incentive Permit hunt...guy won the Auction at the Wild Sheep Foundation Convention at Reno in February with a bid of $150,000, ALL of which goes directly back into Bighorn conservation and management programs...without hunting, we would have NO money for wildlife in this country. Fvcking bunny huggers don't give ONE FVCKING CENT to wildlife programs, yet in their shameless goddamned ignorance, they're quick to condemn modern sport hunting, even whilst indulging the disgusting paradigm of commercial animal husbandry...turkey burgers and fvcking leather shoes, bacon and fvcking beef franks....so on and so fvcking forth
how many of YOU out there who eat meat, or otherwise use ANY animal products have ever taken responsibility for the killing of a sentient creature in order to feed yourself? Not very many I'd wager
How many of YOU out there DIRECTLY support Wildlife Programs in your state, province, or country?
Anyone?

Nah HR,no longer hunt, but my freezers full of trout and walleye fillets. We have a large reserve not to far from here that rich folk pay 40 k plus a year to bag thier trophy buck, elk, moose,or wild boar. I work with alot of hunters,i always pick up overtime in the fall, someone always needs first week of bow, muzzleloader,or rifle season off. Hunting and fishing is part of the culture here in New Hamp. I come from a long line of lobster, cod, haddock fisherman. Because of stricter rules theres hardly any money in fishing anymore. Hence the higher prices at the store for my lobster and haddock.

Comes down to sales Z,bottom line! I love the first few Hatebreed releases, plus thier covers album. Five Fingers mass marketed, thats all. I used to see Hatebreed all the time in N.Hampton Ma and W.Springfield Ma in 97 -98! Mr Shanahans done alot for metal and hardcore in terms of advertising imo! I have respect for the way he goes about his business, works his a$$ off promoting metal and harcore that people wouldnt otherwise hear! How bout his shoutout to New Hamp at Mayhem couple weeks ago?

HR, I donate bi-weekly and volunteer twice a week at my local Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center. I love fishing and I'm all for hunting as long as it's done quickly and the animal used. Sport hunting...I don't support. Glad to hear the pr!ck at least paid a hefty penny for them horns.
38. writes:
Nah ES brother, you're misunderstanding...of course our hunter was greatly appreciative of his wild harvested meat...he also is not a d!ck, unlike MANY others
As far as 'trophy' hunting goes, yes, that it what we practice...'trophy' big game animals are MATURE, first and foremost, getting toward the end of their prime, going to be lost to the elements within a year or two anyway...these are the beasts we hunt. An author by the name of Elgin Gates wrote a very eloquent description of what TRUE trophy hunting SHOULD represent
Something to the effect of: "it is better that the old animal fall quickly to a well-placed bullet or arrow, than to suffer the ravages of time in his period of infirmity, to be cut down mercilessly; directly by the elements themselves, by slow and excruciating starvation, or by the tooth and claw of a feline, canine or ursine predator...also, it is better that their magnificent headgear is preserved and cherished for generations to come, their primal significance appreciated, rather than be lost to the wilds forever"
Humans evolved by hunting...to experience nature in its FULL capacity is something intrinsic to our basic human need...I am convinced that MANY modern medical and psychological diagnosis are the direct consequence to man's current detatchment from the natural world....but anyway bro, enough about that, or we'll be here all day ;)
Big R, that must be a high fenced game farm if they've got elk and razorbacks on there....I denounce their very existance. Europe, New Zealand, and much of Africa, South America, and Asia have hunting models that are based on such privatized 'estate' type hunting...glorified livestock, privately owned and propagated, in the interest of a respective entity's capitalization...it is fundamentally WRONG, and I fight against it annually...some provinces in Canada have outlawed game farms, and we are consistently pushing for the same measures here in the States
We hunt wild animals on public land...most western states auction one permit per species to the highest bidder annually for conservation purposes, and awards another through a raffle for which anyone can afford a ticket or two, and the rest of the permits are distributed by lottery drawing to the general public who've applied appropriately
Hell Brother, I'm envious as hell of your walleye stash! wanna trade for some elk???
Brother Brand, there's some vids floatin around...I personally don't take film of animals gettin killed, it is painful enough to experienced live and firsthand, but if ya want, shoot me an email and I'll forward you some stuff our crew has filmed of our hunts, including kill footage
I still can't belive that J is gonna open for the Fist Fvcks...dude should stick with Kirk and their project together, even though he butchers that sh!t with his vomity vocals...but it's still better than Sh!tbreed :)
39. writes:
Your right HR,mans biggest problems have resulted in his detachment from nature! We have become content, lazy, relying on our modern gadgets! I see your point about those trophy rams also. Actually,do to age ,the meats probably pretty bad anyway. Pretty happy i live less than a hundred yards from a freshwater stream where i can yank my limit in less than an hour. Fishing gives me a few things;relaxation and supper! Nothing better than a six pack on the river bank! Earn your supper!

You got it my brother! hell, I'm goin fishing for 2 days tomorrow...dry flies for Brookies, Rainbows, Browns, and Rio grande Cuts on the Rio Brazos....do a shore lunch with plenty of crispy cold ones!
Cheers Big R, we'll get together sometime with some other good friends on here...we'll have us a Taste of the Wild METAL BBQ! :)

Fair dues HR. Respectable indeed. If only all game hunters would follow those guidelines. Makes sense to me as long as it's not over done. I 100% agree with you on the topic of man losing touch with nature too...and further agree that we need not discuss that on a metal forum...save those discussions for the long anticipated METAL-BQ. Cheers bro!

HR: There's some awesome lakes down here on the White River Apache Res, that hold the biggest trout i've ever seen let alone caught. No bait, no barbed hooks, hand tied flys only (ie you don't bring em with, you tie em there). Caught a 25 incher last time I was there. GOOD fishin.

Im a fan of both hatebreed and 5fdp. But I gotta say I can listen to five finger all day. Hatebreed on the other hand as talented as they are they really only play like 3 minute rants. Not even any real talent jasta says the same 8 words over and over again. Haha iv seen them both live and hatebreed can move a pit pretty good but five finger and move an entire arena. Trust me iv seen.

Brand---we just put up a link to our new Desert Sheep video on our Western Trophy Bighorn Journal (click 1st result of google search)...there's a trailer version there, and a link to the full vid on facekook...I don't subscribe to facefvck, so I haven't seen it yet, but I hear quite a bit of my footage is on it...and I guess I did film a ram gettin killed....Doh! :)

Hatebreed supporting 5FDP?!?!?! That is a joke! 5FDP do not deserve to be the headliner if Hatebreed is with them!!
