Kittie. One more thing on this planet I don't get.
What makes em special apart from their sex? I don't think any of their music is really that good so is their so-called 'career' simply based on the fact they're girls?
Sorry, Not good enough. Look at Joan Jett and L7. Awesome stuff!!

It's the fact that they were playing even somewhat heavy music on a national level at such a young age. They were touring, playing with Slipknot and Mudvayne, getting pits going and were under the age of 18/19.
And were girls.
Unfortunately, they seem to have lost it after the 2nd album. Now it seems they're more worried about presenting an image (and swept-over hair, gag me) than just rocking the f*** out like they used to.
Though I admit, I still like the first 2 albums. I don't listen to them much, but they are on my master Winamp playlist.

I thought the song wasn't that bad when compared to the original. I took the time to listen to both and Kittie took the verse riff and changed it up from a few ringing chords to a plodding riff with some slow double bass underneath to add a little momentum. The guitar solo loosely follows the similar themes to the original. The vocals are pretty true to the original.
It's not a great song by any stretch, but for a cover song dedicated to a tribute CD, it's not bad. I'm guessing Lita, Joan, and the others (forget their names) approved of it.

I really don't see how so many people like Spit. It was nu-metal at the core. Oracle was better, but the newest album In The Black is pretty good. I just find it odd that so many people like the crap stuff when they actually have talent now and much better guitars. "The Truth' is another great song from them that showcases great metal and musicianship.
