brother Brian, I trusted your assessment of this thing back when it came out, and I trust it now...also, my intuition screamed against listening to the damn thing, and I trusted that as well!
So I'll continue to keep my head buried in the sand and pretend this atrocity never happened!

Im thinking Morbid Angel fans will reject this albukm much in the way Cryptopsy fans rejected Unspoken King. Just too far radical departure of anything even close to classic Morbid Angel. Difficult to truly judge based on 45sec. samples, but it doesnt sound promising. might have been best served being released as a side project. it might rank as great a disappointment as The Haunteds latest for me

It's not the kind of music they're playing it's just the fact that the songs aren't any good.
I'm not against Morbid or any bands experimenting.
Fast, slow, medium, classically inspired or techno.
None of that matters if the songs are good, and these are NOT.
The Project Hate does techno, hell, they do everything but the kitchen sink and they pull it off brilliantly.
I wish bands would stop focusing on being the fastest, the heaviest, the most experimental and just make good songs.
David and Trey can don cowboy hats and boots for all I care as long as the songs are good.

LOL, I can see there are no comments on this.....
As everyone knows....Morbid has always been one of my all time faves.....before anyone buys this...go listen to the 45 second clips on youtube.
I'm not going to blame Thor or Tim as they have incredible street cred.
This has the craptastic stamp of Grandmaster Evil D and DJ Trey written all over it.
Radikult.....anyone.
I DARE Morbid to try and play this song live and not get yelled right off the stage.
I'm sorry but as a life long fan this album is nothing short of embarrassing. Cryptopsy???
Not even close, this makes "The Unspoken King" sound like "Reign in Blood".
Oh and if anyone listens to "Too Extreme"....it sounds almost identical to a song called....."Whoomp, there it is".
"Whoomp...too extreme!!!"
"Whoomp..too extreme!!!"
Now that I'm done venting I'll grab my copies of "Altars", "Blessed", "Covenant", "Domination", and yes even "Gateways"....lay down in a corner and curl up into the fetal position and wait for them to release the REAL new album.
