Not bad, Song kinda goes in one ear and out the other though. Nothing special or memorable in it. Trey's lead is cool. Vincents vocals are better than i expected. The drums are quantized, the kick drums are clearly fake, not human feel...the modern production of quantizing drums really ruins it for me. I wanna hear a classic Morbid Angel track on the album. Maybe a slow evil track like He Who Sleeps or World Of sh**. Something that i'll listen to 10 years from now like i do for all the other albums [except heretic, that album blows]!

Average song b/c the most interesting thing about M.Angel is the haunting guitar wails mixed with great songwriting, vocals, drums and power. The power is there but the song is the same 99% through with none of the usual unexpected surprises. So the drums are on point, but are less interesting b/c there's not enough changes. The power is there but is less interesting b/c it's the same song over and over. That leaves the eerie guitar wails to save the day...which it does - except only in the last 15 seconds or so of the song. This is no Dawn of the Angry or Chapel of Ghouls. Hope the rest of the album is less contrived and more sheer and utter creative chaos like the M.Angel I know...

My all time favorite death metal band. They can do no wrong. This isnt my favorite, however they still mix brutality and technicallity as well as any death metal band out there today. Wish "deathcore" bands would take listen to this and realize that this is death metal. Well maybe not this...probably Blessed are the Sick.
