Montreal tech death shredders Derelict have just put their self-titled 2011 promo EP up for sale on their Bandcamp page for $1.99, which includes the opening track, "Perpetuation," as a free download. The songs are also available for streaming through the same location.

"We originally intended this EP to simply be a promotional lead-up to the next album, but our fans have been asking us to make the tracks available," comments vocalist Eric Burnet. "They were produced at full album quality, so we figured, why not! In this day and age bands can't afford to hold music back for no reason, and if people want to have it, we're more than happy to deliver it."

The EP features three songs that will be on the band's next full-length, due out in late 2011. Similarly to the band's 2009 release "Unspoken Words," tracking duties were shared by Burnet and Montreal engineer Kevin Frenette, with mixing and mastering completed by Chris Donaldson (Beneath The Massacre, The Agonist, etc). Bass duties were provided courtesy of Swiss fretless guru Seb Pittet (Augury).

Over the next few months, Derelict will be putting the finishing touches on the band's next full-length and playing select shows around Quebec and Ontario.
