The "Big Four" of 1980s thrash metal — Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax — performed on the same stage in the United States yesterday (Saturday, April 23rd) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California in front of a capacity crowd of more than 50,000 fans. Members of Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth joined Metallica on stage for a cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?" ^Ha! sweet... and then Sh!tstaine would spiral in into a bottomless depression of guity remorse, and swallow a nice big bottle of pills, and Wake Up Dead! :)

nah, big R...I seriously would NOT go, had a ticket to the cancelled round of American Carnage, and the only reason I was going at all was for TESTAMENT...didn't fret too much when I couldn't make the replacement gig, however

I wouldn't give a goddamned penny to ANY thing that would benefit Sh!tallica or Megadump's wallets, and I've always hated Anthrax anyway...Last time I saw Slayer was with fvckin PANTERA in '01 at Long Beach...nothin they could do now would beat that show, so I'll just leave well enough alone, ya know brother?

I went to the show dudes, and let me tell u...the HIGHLIGHT of the night was SLAYER! they f*cken owned everybody that night, they sounded freaking insane, and to top it off, JEFF stepped in and played the last two songs with them...don't get me wrong, megadave and tallica we're good, but SLAYER was just on their A game...and I can't really say nothing about ANTHRAX since I missed their set cuz I was getting sh*tfaced in the parking lot...lol \m/

Thanks for the review TMD. Did Megadeth do Piece Sells in its entirety? They have talked about doing that this year. Good to see Slayers tearing it up again. Saw em last August and they delivered a not so perfect performance.

Hellrat- f*** yeah, I also saw Slayer with Pantera and Morbid Angel at the Long Beach Arena on the Extreme Steel Tour. It was my second time seeing them, and since have seen them six more times. The only show that may have topped that one was Ozzy Sabbath, Priest, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir & Superjoint Ritual at Glen Helen Pavilion in '04. /m\

Pantera, Slayer AND Morbid Angel? Too bad I was only nine years old and not even close to being into metal at that time. :/

@R10....no dude, Megadeth only played a few songs from peace sells, i guess u can call their set a greatest hits type thing, if u know what i mean...they went mostly with their most famous songs, their set was pretty solid though....
