Elaborated drummer Fredrik Andersson: "We're really excited about the upcoming album, Surtur Rising. And what better way to showcase it by playing the full album on our first US tour for Surtur Rising?! Even though I'm more of a Metallica fan than Amon Amarth, even I'd rather go to the Amon Amarth gig than the over-priced and over-hyped "Big Four" crap. I've seen Metallica only once in my life on the Death Magnetic tour, they only played songs from the first four records, plus the obligatory Enter Sandman and 2 tracks from Death Magnetic. I went home very happy. Why ruin the memory?
i found out about this yesterday. i have an account with ticketmaster and i receive emails about concerts, that are near me from bands of my choice, go on sale, and i saw this and i was like "YES! I'm going!", but then i went insane searching ALL over the internet (amon amarth's myspace, fb, and official website, and even here on MU and other metal site) but nothing had any info about it. so i was skeptical about it. so i posted on AA's fb pg, and randomly, Metal Blade Records replied saying that "the official announcement was coming later today" (yesterday). pretty kool awesome idea about the 2 sets too. this will be my first time seeing them and it'll be epic.

All u swoop haired, yellow v:necked wearing Nancy boys in skinny boy pants better stay at the mall when this show hits Boston May 6. Ill be there @ u don't want 2 come across me. Ill be in a fowl mood and I'm apt to elbow any of u hollister tshirt wearing girly men in the mouth. Lol!
