Metallica Announces Plan To Record Secret Project In May

Speaking recently to Rolling Stone, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed that the band would be entering the studio in May to record a new project. "We want to record it in two weeks," guitarist Kirk Hammett tells Rolling Stone.

He went on to state, "We had planned on doing it in March, but we pushed it back to May. I don't want to give too much away, but it's not really 100 percent a Metallica record. It's a recording project, let's put it that way. Without getting too deep into it, it's more a recording project than a bona fide Metallica album. Whether or not we can pull it off in just two weeks remains to be seen."

i can already think about what kinds of negative comments this will get. things like "gee i hope it's so much of a secret i never find out about it". the fact of the matter is, i think this album will be something the naysayers have been b****ing for: pure, unadulterated metallica without all the time-consuming frills.
