Iced Earth has posted a teaser trailer online for the band's upcoming live DVD "Festivals of the Wicked," which can be viewed here. The band also commented on the DVD:
"Can you handle nearly six hours of your favorite metal band? You'll soon find out. The intense two-minute trailer from the long-awaited live DVD extravaganza Festivals of the Wicked is now available for your viewing pleasure. The DVD cover art – featuring Iced Earth 'mascot' Set Abominae emerging from the fires of Hell, riffing on a Les Paul – is also posted here.
"Festivals of the Wicked boasts nearly six hours of Iced Earth – three full headliner shows (over 40 live tracks!), a photo gallery shot by famed rock photographers Ross Halfin and Rudy De Doncker, plus a 90-minute documentary. It will be released early in 2011."
Drummer Brent Smedley also added: "The three festivals featured on the DVD were all extremely remarkable and each one memorable in its own way. All three were amazing nights where the Metal and the Magic were fully flowing. I think the release of this DVD truly proves my mantra and favorite saying: METAL LIVES!"

nah, hell man...i'm glad they included the slot
tim deserves the recognition....he's got a great voice, he just took a couple trains to nowhere
if he could find some self confidence, and some quality, brotherly musicians....he might be okay
but then, his lyrics and arrangements are sh!t....so maybe not
see 'red baron, blue max'....complete fvcking garbage

Haha, I actually like the song Red baron/Blue max.... Not because its a great song or anything, but because I have a ridiculous looking red hat that I call the red baron and my roomate has a blue one and his name happens to be Max... So it sort of became our drunken theme song when we bring out the hats, lol

This looks AWESOME!!!! I will defiantly be getting this, and I'm glad they included ripper, I think Jon has got the right person for the material at the time. This is gonna be controversial but I think the glorious burden and framming Armageddon wouldn't be as good if matt did the vocals, just my opinion, but matts better at more emotional stuff, and songs like Waterloo really benefit from tippers harsher vocals

I've been waiting for this for over a year, and the trailer just blew me away!! Can hardly wait! Really excited about the "behind the scenes" portions and interview/travel segments, plus I haven't heard Tim Owens that much, and LOVE Matt Barlow's voice - so I'm really happy everyone is included in this collection! Love everything about Iced Earth!
By the way, they did a US tour this past September - I saw them in Chicago and they were beyond my expectations! Tremendous show, excellent sound mix, fabulous setlist, and more!
