BG=yeah same here, if i had woke up one day and realized what a sh**ty band i was in i would have done the smart thing and quit, instead of killing myself with booze and pills but i guess being in a band that crappy he couldn't have lived with the guilt

MR555=i do it to hear the whiney b****y fanboys complain about how people don't like their favorite trendy boy bands or they don't like it when people don't got anything nice to say about them FUK THAT!! Like BG said "Everyone has the right to their own opinion."

Metalrox: As I've said many times before, negative opinions are just as important (actually more important) than positive ones. What impact does pining on about how awesome A7X is have on the average listener of A7X? A warm fuzzy feeling that you're part of the "in crowd"? A negative opinion may have enough impact to convince one of the A7X sheep to stray from the pack and seek out some real metal and explore the vast landscape of the genre. And yes... That's just one mans opinion.

I'm not saying someone can't have negative opinions because obviously there's going to be some bands that people don't like. I mean, there's definitely artists that I dislike (Nickelback, Led Zeppelin, and Poison just to name a few). But what I'm saying is treating people who listen to a band that you dislike just because it's not something that you listen to is completely idiotic. The beauty of music is that everyone has different tastes in music and I honestly think that there's no such thing as "Good" or "bad" music because the music someone likes is based completely on opinion.
People just all around judge people WAY too much based on the music they listen to. Like people on here only see that I like bands like The Devil Wears Prada and Asking Alexandria and assume I'm some scene kid when in reality my second favorite genre is Folk Metal and I have a Moonsorrow shirt. Also, I'm going to see Kamelot this fall and I'm listening to Evile right now.

Metalrox: We'll have to agree to disagree on the whole "no such thing as good or bad music" thing, but thats what makes the world go around. I've never accused you of being a "scene kid", but your affinity for metalcore is likely what brings out the bad side of most folks here. Don't take it so personally. Natsquatch and n0thinghead both have their metalcore bands that they like and we tollerate... hell, we love those guys. Lastly, I could care less what shirt you have, metal is about the music... Not fashion. This is yet another gap created by bands like A7X and their fans. REAL metalheads don't give a fvck if you wear polka dots with plaid.

I know I tend to get overly mad when someone insults one of my favorite bands but that's just me. It's because music is my passion. When I'm home, I'm pretty much always listening to music or trying to find new bands (Some metal, some not). That's why I feel like I need to protect the bands I like so much.
And I know it doesn't matter what I wear and I wasn't trying to say anything about fashion. I was saying that just to back up that I do love the types of metal that most people around here would consider "real metal".
