Canadian metallers Derelict have issued the following statement about canceling their previously announced tour dates on October 23rd and 24th:

"Friends! We are very sorry to announce that we cannot come out to play St-Thomas and Wingham this weekend as planned.

"Here's why: The promoter for the show in St-Thomas canceled on us at the last minute, today, the day before the show. Even though Yvonne, the promoter for Wingham, is super cool and would have made the best out of the situation for us, we just can't afford to drive a 16-hour round trip for just one show. Without getting into details, fueling a big van pulling a trailer is pretty expensive, so we need at least 2 shows to finance a trip with that many kilometers.

"We are SO SORRY to everyone who was coming to see us. Go to The Legion on Saturday anyway. There are still 5 great bands playing. Hopefully if you're from the area you'll be coming to see us at the Woodstock Holiday Funfest in December. Here's the event for that. We love you all!"

You can still catch Derelict live on the following dates:

11/1 Café-Théâtre Côté-Cour Jonquière, Quebec
11/7 Le Rock Café Granby, Quebec
11/20 The Underground North Bay, Ontario
11/21 Seduction Lounge Sudbury, Ontario
11/27 Underworld Montreal, Quebec
12/12 The Woodshack Woodstock, Ontario
1/29 2010 Bar Le Magog Sherbrooke, Quebec
1/30 2010 La Chapelle De La Réparation Pointes-Aux-Trembles, Quebec
