"Heavy Metal Church" In Colombia
Metal Injection has posted a bizarre video of a "heavy metal church" in Bogata, Colombia. Picture a Baptist church and replace the gospel with metal and you get the picture. You can watch the video below.

LOL DB, not to sure if you'd ask God's forgiveness about that though :)
"designed for devotees who want to express themselves through Heavy Metal."
Although the idea is odd to me, I guess that's sort of cool. I guess one would have to be into it to understand it. One would think the only way to express yourself while being with God is to be in a Christian Metal band of some sort (instead of a church), but not all people have Musical talent, so respects to those who get to express themselves in their own way there, for sure.

Metal is NOT my religion and faith - but GOD is....and Jesus Christ is the only way, truth and life......and metal is just a cool soundtrack to it all - when it's done to glorify God. If anyone says that christianity is lame or boring HAS NO CLUE to the life and power that Jesus Christ can give. If you want power over sin - Jesus is the only answer...''but as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, those who believe in His name.'' John 1:12 kjv

C'mon Messenger, this was supposed to get a few laughs, but at the same time, let every one say "OK, that is kinda cool". The preaching gives way to snides from others and opens the "don't preach to me" door. I am an unashamed Christian, but I also like my metal kinda dark and dirty. I can be a good Christian, but at the same time listen to some face ripping metal. I don't dig the super Satanic stuff, but nor do I like the overly preachy stuff out there either. I like to hear The Word in church, not coming from my IPOD. Christians are supposed to be about embracing and understanding. To say that only Christian metal is the way, that itself makes you a hypocrite. C'mon brother.

Cynic thanks for reminding me Trouble. There is a few good Christian bands that I like (Trouble, Seventh Angel etc). Those bands have inteligent lyrics that includes not only christianity. I hate those bands who tries to wash the people brain just like the church does. f*** I suck at English if you knew Lithuanian then everything will be more simple. Thou we don't have any recordings yet cuz we don't have time and some of our band members lives too far from the others.

Jenny: I picked up on that right away. Rychemn said Metal was his religion and then some kooky moron spoted off his God propaganda. I also noticed the money going into the box as they passed it around. If i'm not mistaken, that is a staple of Christianity. I've never seen or even heard of a church that doesn't ask for money from it's worshipers. Some of them down here do quite well for themselves.

Blindgreed1: Yeah, that's why I said "most" just to drive the obvious across. I read all the posts, Messenger just took the whole thing seriously and said something he/she was bound to say, like in a few other posts I've seen from him/her. Which threw off the whole thing, as well as a few words from a few other people in response to messenger.
Oh and plus some people are saying this was supposed to be funny...am I missing something? This isn't a just for fun article, the whole thing is just different.

AILD still qualifies as a christian band ,they are by far and away the best one ive heard.....jenny point well expressed....AP1, you give what you can, if its only 5$ oh well...its not really about the dollar amount but about character and the purpose you serve...i wish i could go every saturday..( SDA) and give everything i had, but i do what i can...job, bills , and college football sometimes gets in the way but you do what you can...satan suxs

AP1: You go on with your bad a$$ Christian self my brother. By the way... What IS your favorite color? lol.

Messenger: Let's break this down shall we?
2 Corinthians Chapter 6 Verse 14:
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light in darkness?"
How dare you ask such a question of me when you are visiting the same website that the of us unrighteous people inhabit? Methinks that smacks of hypocrisy.
2 Corinthians Chapter 6 Verse 15:
" And what concord hath Christ with Belial or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?"
Whoever said I believed what the rest of these people do? You assumed that I was an "infidel" because of my position on secular music. Your rush to judgement on the specifics of my faith leaves little doubt as to the validity of your commitment to The Word. As with all hypo-Christians, everyone who does not share the same belief as you, is automatically condemned. I don't know about you Messenger, but my God is a loving, understanding and forgiving God who would not ever hold the sins of my mortal frame against me in the face of repentence. I may not follow his word to the letter, but that is just part of what makes us human. My God accepts me because of my imperfections, not in spite of them.
Oh and Blind, my favorite color is green money in a black wallet.

americanpatriot - ''how dare you ask such a question of me when you are visiting the same website that the of us.....whoever said i believed what the rest of these people do ?'' are YOUR words and that is precisely my point ! If i'm an hypocrit then that makes 2 of us, eh ? Peace bro. Amos 3:3

its all based of facts
and believe me i did a study on the knight templers
the only thing they got killed by the vatican is the did dnow the real story about christianity their believe was concect the jews moslims and christians together but the vatican did not like that and took them out
they put them on the stake

hi wilco....i don t know where you got your info from - but the Bible isn't just 1 book - but a collection of 66 books written during a span of almost 2000 years by over 40 different authors....the last book written was Revelations dated apox. 65 to 95 A.D. There is nothing in the Bible that was written in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th centuries (and so on...) 'Those' later writings are called the (a)nostic gospels which were not written by jews or christians and were also rejected by the early church as heretical. The templars i don't know much about BUT the roman catholic church does NOT represent biblical christianity. In fact - even the protestant reformers considered the roman church to be the whore of revelations 17 and the throne of the pope as the seat of antichrist. hope this helps a little.

"I agree, this arguement is pointless.
My god had a white Fender Stratocaster (plus a various other strats, a Gibson V and a Les Paul). He wasnt nailed to the cross, he died under rather unclear circumstances in London on September 18, 1970.
Just saying... ;)"

I have been doing research on this. Visit myspace.com/bold_lion to view videos and read what God's word says about this.
This is blasphemy to our GOD! If you claim to be a Christian and you are into Christian heavy metal and hardcore I encourage you to view my page. If you are not a Christian then your opinion doesn't matter because you know not the Word of God!
