Erik rutan is a f***in workaholic.
Check out all the albums he's been invloved with in the past two years, and then sh** yourself, and then try and imagine yourself working with that many metal bands on that many albums, in that short amount of time, and then sh** yourself again just from thinking about it.
Erik rutan is the f***ing man. (hehe, I'm a poet, and I didnt discern it!)

nile's f***ing awesome, i just wish they'd master and mix a little better... i like to hear what notes are played behind the vocals and drums... all i hear is lots of distortion lol. sounds awesome mind u, but i tried learning Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water, and i couldn't due to the reasons i've already specified

^nah I've got the same problem....It's difficult to distinguish the guitars most of the time under the heavy dragging vocals, and george Kolias making violent sado-masochistic love to the drumset.
my only really problem with this band. I know it's awesome, it's just hard to get the whole picture when some stuff gets buried by weird mixing. Meshuggah gets the same problem because the drums are over--the-top of everything. Whatever, I still love it, but the complaint is there. :P

I don't know, I think that chaotic fuzz is one of the things that makes Nile stand out so much. Like the first time I heard "Black Seeds of Vengeance", (man I was probably only a kid too), it blew me away. I think you'd lose the charm of those albums if things were crystal. However, in saying that I think Nile are ready for a change, as Ithyphallic was quite similar to AotW.

oh yers of course, i LOVE the heavy fuzz sound, like what Cynic says, "I think that chaotic fuzz is one of the things that makes Nile stand out so much". it's a very very original sound, and is one of the only bands out there that when i listen to them on my ipod turned up loud (of course) i get a small headache that reminds me that i just listened to an epic song :D
