Punk Goes Pop 2 Features Metal Bands?

Band Photo: Chiodos (?)
Fearless Records is releasing another "Punk Goes...", this time the sequel to "Punk Goes Pop" called, not to out-do themselves with creativity, "Punk Goes Pop 2."
However, the word punk has evolved since you bought the first CD of the eight CD series (did they really have to make that many?), the new compilation, scheduled for a March 10, 2009 release date, features some of your favorite metal bands trying their hand at some radio-friendly pop tunes that you would only find on your little sister's pink iPod nano.
You can go ahead and pre-order on the Fearless Records website and it will also come with "Punk Goes Pop" and you are entered in a contest to win all of the eight CDs of "Punk Goes..."
If you're looking forward to seeing who is on the tracks, let me spoil the surprise with the track listing:
1. Alesana - "What Goes Around..."
2. Silverstein - "Apologize"
3. August Burns Red - "...Baby One More Time"
4. Mayday Parade - "When I Grow Up"
5. A Day to Remember - "Over My Head (Cable Car)"
6. Escape the Fate - "Smooth"
7. There For Tomorrow - "Ice Box"
8. Chiodos - "Flagpole Sitta"
9. Bayside - "Beautiful Girls"
10. Breathe Carolina - "See You Again"
11. The Cab - "Disturbia"
12. A Static Lullaby - "Toxic"
13. Four Year Strong - "Love Song"
14. Attack Attack! - "I Kissed a Girl"

If anything, these bands,( at least the ones I've heard) are post-hardcore.
I know Chiodos is at least. My stepsister loves them. Her only redeeming factor is that she loves Slayer without needing me to get her into it. But still, she likes Chiodos.
the abnds I've heard form this, dont even need to transition their sound too much to sound exactly like the originals anyway. Covers of pop songs are probably what these bands played in their garages while we were jamming out to Master of Puppets and Raining Blood anyway.
I hate the mainstream media's view of what is and isnt metal. They're always wrong. Retards.

^no actually just ADTR are fail. ive heard them, and their music does not make a sane person want to "throw down".
August burn Red is probably the only band on this list I wouldnt yell at someone for listening to, but even then, crawling on thin ice in my toleration of scene music.

Metal bands? As in plural? The only band up listed there that's even metalcore is August Burns Red. It's a catchy cover I'll give it that but metal bands is pushing it.
