The Faceless Banned From House Of Blues

Band Photo: Meshuggah (?)
It seems that The Faceless are the latest band to be banned from performing at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California. The Disney owned club has not disclosed why they won't allow The Faceless to perform at the club on February 1st with Meshuggah and Cynic but the band will be a part of the tour from February 2nd onwards. Several other metal bands have been banned from performing at the club in recent times such as Belphegor most recently.

The Faceless bad. Miley Cyrus good. Disney has lost their collective minds. But then again Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen hoping one day to be resurrected like a modern day Jesus Christ. That's good fodder for a song theme.

What I want to know is...why do they book the bands in the first place at the HOB, only to ban them later? I understand it may take a little time to review a band and find whether they are appropriate, but with the frequency of these cancellations on metal bands at this particular venue of late, you would think they would have people look into the bands BEFORE they booked them, and caused this hullabaloo later by banning them?

This is the first metal show booked at this venue in about 15 months. I was VERY surprised that this tour was stopping at the Mouse House. I would not be surprised if they cancel the entire line up a week before the gig, which was there conduct right before they ceased to even book metal bands.

this happens a lot at the HOB in Orlando as well, also on Disney property. More often than not, a "controversial/unacceptable" band comes through, and they have to play at some other venue when they were originally booked to play HOB. I'm not sure when or why this started happening, but I went to great metal shows at HOB for years with no issue. I'm just thinking a change in Disney mgmt somewhere is responsible.
