Corey Taylor has trained under the most renowned vocal trainers in the business, yet he still blows out his voice on every tour (usually the first leg of the tour). To me this displays one of two things: 1) He doesn't have the talent to practice what he's been taught to do. 2) He's too stupid to use the tools he was provided. I was giving Corey the benefit of the doubt by saying he is not very talented. Maybe your right. Maybe he's just an idiot. Either way, i've been in the business long enough to know that if you are going to be a singer, your voice is your instrument and you have to take as best care of it as humanly possible. JSP: Thanks man. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was never really going for a Hetfield kind of thing, but aparently it's what my chords evolved into during my attempt to create my own sound. Funny thing is, I can't do Metalica covers for sh!t! now lol.
