I think these guys have earned the right to name a song anything they want. We are talking about some metal legends here. No offense to anyone, though. They've more than paid their dues. I have to agree with Bruno as well, some great albums dropped in 2008.

XD Why would they name a song rock 'n roll jesus right after kid rock did it? Of course they have the right to do so, but why WOULD they? It's a rather silly title for a song anyway.. I wonder who came up with it?

Rock n Roll Jesus is a terrible song name. Talk about mundane and crass. It makes me roll my eyes.

On the other hand, Zimmers Hole are great :)

^what are you talking about? Rock and Roll Jesus is a fantastic song name. I'm sure Tenacious D put a lot of thought in to making the lyrics to that song as funny as possible.

Wait, Kid Rock did it? Oh. i withdraw my statement.

^agreed. I found it to be an interesting wordplay. 'Adam and Eve' becomes 'Adam and Evil' becomes 'Atom and Evil'. Kind of a double concept-removal twist... hah, I think too much sometimes :P

This is not Sabbath post #1 and this Heaven and Hell sh!t sucks. Iommi+Ozzy+Butler+Ward is Black Sabbath. Not this Dungeons and Dragons fantasy Dio crap. Real witches on album covers and songs about acid and politics and pissing people off is what this band was built on. Granted, Ozzy may be overly comercialized and annoying these days but that band was at its absolute greatest when he was leading the way. Have you ever seen the video to Holy Diver? ENOUGH SAID! (although I must say, Shot in the Dark was equally as dreadful)

Now Playing: Meglomania, "the real BLACK SABBATH"

Can we please just stop writing song titles with "Rock n' Roll" in them? Ronnie James Dio loves doing that. On the Sacred Heart album, he has "King of Rock and Roll" and "Rock 'N' Roll Children" on the same damn album. Uggggghh!

Could NOT agree MORE with Boozer. The fans know what genre a band is in, there's no need to keep reminding us. Instead, how about putting some decent thought into your titles/lyrics and coming up with something at least broadly considerable as artistic - you know, since music is supposed to be an art, and musicians are supposed to be artists.

The only band I am okay with having 'Rock', 'Roll', or any variation of these in their titles/lyrics is ACDC - they have too much balls to argue with. Airborne, also.

Let's not forget the Rainbow (w/Dio) song "Long Live Rock and Roll". I personally don't care what they call it as long as it kicks a$$. I love the Dio era Sabbath as much as the Ozzy era. I don't see the need to proclaim one better or worse than the other.

^that's because Airbourne are just half-grown clones of ACDC they had in stasis just in case any more of them died, but the clones escaped and decided to form their own band.

Seriosuly, Airbourne is the exact same thing as ACDC, but they're fresh and eager. They sound just as excited as ACDC did in the early days, as opposed to the old geezer's still rockin out for no reason.

Sill awesome though. Both bands.
