Motorhead Song Featured In New Disney Movie

Band Photo: Motorhead (?)
Rock legends Motorhead will feature briefly in the forthcoming Disney movie, Bolt with their song "Dog-Face Boy." The song is in a mailroom scene where a young worker is listening to it on his headphones and inadvertently wraps the character, Bolt up in a box that gets shipped off to New York City. The movie stars John Travolta, Malcom McDowell, Miley Cyrus and wrestling legend Randy Savage and is about a small dog named Bolt (Travolta) who has lived all his life on the set of a TV show in which he portrays a superhero dog. As a result, he thinks that his superpowers, and events on film, are real.

Johnny Boy: I just pulled your metal card for two reasons. 1.) You think Lordi makes music. 2.) You are threatening physical violence over an accurate description of Dragonforce. You can not redeem your metal card for at least six months and after that, the decision will lie with the metal Gods. Tell Raymon we said hi...

10. writes:
You tell him Blind Greed! Either one of those two points individually would have warranted consideration for revoking his metal card, but when combined a mininum six month sentence is kind of letting him off easy. Hopefully he uses that time to become a better metalhead.

18. writes:
A Dragonforce fan trying to be a bad ass? I am overwhelmed by the irony.
On a serious note Johnny Boy, go check out the website blabbermouth.net- you will fit better with those people. You need a card around here, and if you keep this up you will turn a six month revoke into a lifetime ban.
* Walks over to Johnny Boy and gives him $10*
"Here ya go kid, now go clean yourself up."
27. writes:
Haha godlike I agree with those sentiments exactly. I think that JB needs to get some better comebacks - in each one he just seems very confused. And BG do you have the rights to revoke metal cards?
If so do I also have the right? Or can anyone do it to people who listen to feeble music?
28. writes:
Irish: After playing in metal band for over 25 years, I do feel as though i've earned the right to pull a metal card if I see fit. I would also have to agree that if any of us see someone worshiping feeble music, we not only have the right; but it is our duty as ritious metalheads to pull that fvcking card. Blabbernouth is the place for those fools. Let them all run amuck over there. Where ya been Irish?

Anyway yeh f*** em Blabbermouth is full of narrow minded idiots - I only went there once and left immediately. Mu is much better. Only problem is its being really really slow to load tings 2nite

Anyway it's good to be able to talk to like minded people, but I also get a lot of fun out of arguing my point in certain issues. That's why I haven't been posting in a while - because I haven't seen any particularly worthwhile topics.

oh please don't tell me there are more of you fa99ot Dragonforce lovers. I still am not convinced that those b****es can actually play that fast and accurate for that long of a time period. What they do is considered pop singing with sped up bullsh** guitar. no one in there right minds should agree that this band is in ne case metal. they blow. ASP!!! \m/

see how gay that was? now learn from your mistakes. Dragonforce is g4yer than sh** and they need to stop playing their sh**ty sped up music.

I'm willing to bet Johnny Boy isn't actually a fan and is just a troll sent here to try and piss some real metal fans off (although I can't say much, I'm listening to Nickelback :P) in which case JB. GTFO my internets! Even if he is a fan though, to each their own, Lordi is a guilty pleasure of mine but I can't stand Dragonforce.

Oz, how they hangin buddy...?
Bg1 - Its nice to see someone else is up and at it so early in the am..!! Im still sitting in this damn truckstop in the middle of Missouri, trying to find a load to haul towards home.. Its kind of expensive to drive 7hrs empty..!
51. writes:
I'm doing good thanks guys. I'm off to a local show tonight, I don't want to go but they put me on the guest list so it's worth it to get in free if nothing else. Other than that my next gig is Status Quo in December and hopefully Overkill and Exodus in February.
JB I thought I told you to GTFO my internets!
Now playing: REM - The Great Beyond

Oz, glad to know things are going OK across the pond.. A free show is a free show nonetheless !!
I havent seen a concert in years.... perhaps its time..??
Kinda hard to catch a concert when Im only home for a couple days at a time... It would easier to see shows when Im on the road if I didnt have a damn semi and a 53ft trailer to park ;-)
55. writes:
godlike: Soon you'll be haulin for someone that realizes that the truck has to be moving to make money.lol.
Oz: Tell my boys in Exodus Blind Greed said "hey" from Arizona. Overkill?... Bobby's kind of a head case but the rest of em are cool. I'm going to be hanging out with Mushroomhead again in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to that one! They're a crazy bunch.
Afternoon Irish!
56. writes:
Bg1 - well, in all honesty its like I said... Its not necessarily my bosses fault... but then again, he is one of those guys that isnt really bothered by the fact that Ive been away from home for 6 days..!
At this point in time, Im damn near tempted to just drive the damn thing home...avoiding his calls the whole way, and let him worry about the loss.. Im not losing any money by sitting here, in fact I get paid to sit too $100/day, but that doesnt compare to the money I make driving.!!
57. writes:
godlike: Yeah, pointing the finger of blame is not going to solve anything. The point is; you are there (away from your family) to make the most money you can on each load right? Hey man, here I am again....
Just got situated at a dock and waiting to get my load on..... damn, its only taken a day and a half..!!
But Im still 7 hrs from, and now I got to stop and unload 2 hrs from home..!!
F^ck, its gonna be a long evening... GPS says that I will arrive home about 1030, thats without stopping...
Im always safe.... life is to short to be too reckless..!! The only trouble is that the roads are full of idiotic drivers.... its those people that a guy has to watch out for...!!
62. writes:
Bg1 - it is truly amazing, how many baaad drivers there is on the roads... I see em every day all day.!! The night before last, coming through St.Louis, I seen this dumbass driving a Grand Am, pull out into the lane in front me going about 40 mph... I was doing 70.... I had to slam on the brakes... the trailer brakes locked up and it started skidding to the right.... by the time, I got it under control this f^cktard had already pulled off on the next exit....damnit, I truly felt like following him, just to run his car off the road.... and then pull him out of it, and beat him to death..!!
Its like these retards, have no clue, just how much these damn things weigh... completely empty this rig wieghs 34,400lbs... thats more than enough to flatten a Grand Am..... !!

godlike: I served as a limb hunter for accident scenes on I-10 for 2 years. Believe me, I know how fvcking stupid people can be. I've also got some crazy stories about that experience. We'll save those stories for another day ;-) Every day that passes you see someone do something that far surpasses your origional criteia for stupidity. It's all due to the weakening of the gene pool. Seriously man. It has to even out sooner or later. When will we have the right to take out the stupid people on sight? When I ask you? That is the "change" that we NEED.

Have u been to Blabbermouth the last couple of days BlindGreed? I am thinking they got a new member in Johnny Boy. Hopefull he comes back in six motnsh a changed man, er boy. I won't hold my breath, though.

I think I did. It was on cable a while back. I just checked out a movie called Insanitarium last week that wasn't too bad. I fully expected it to be total cheese but it was actually pretty good. The weekend before last, she came home with 3 movies she had rented.... Damn, I didnt have the heart to tell her I had already seen all 3.... So, I sat through em all a second time just to save the hassles..... what a nice guy huh..??

Well I'll step in then shall I? He couldn't have put it better in post 129.
Music for the gay masses then is it? And what differentiates them from the pure line of power metal bands that stem back to where metal began? Have you even heard their first album? Go ahead, read the reviews on Metal Archives. People should let go of the stigma of popular bands and listen to the music.
Now Playing: Demilich - "And You'll Remain... (In Pieces in Nothingness)"

135. writes:
Cynic, I respect your opinion but leather thigh pants, hot dogging, long curly hair on purpose have never been associate with being straight. And it does sound really gay. I have never liked power metal and never will. The problem with Dragon Force is that they are so full of themselves it makes it even more pathetic.
I constantly hear people saying, those dudes rock, they are heavy and you go : whaaaaaaaaaaaat ? And then you find out that they think Disturbed is metal as f***. that's what pisses me off most. And Dragon Force are the flag bearer of this gay trend.
136. writes:
One thing Kali - I know a fair bit about weapons and your description of a mace is actually a popular misconception. The ball and chain design is actually a flail, with the ball on the end generally referred to as a morningstar. A mace is basically a club with a heavy head, and was used by knights to crush plate armour. If it is spiked its also known as a morningstar. So its easy to be misled by these misconceptions. Although eating any of these would indeed do a large amount of damage to the digestive tract. Sorry for being so long winded but i felt i had to clear that up.
Np - South Park - Major Boobage

138. writes:
Cynic: Agreed!
And while I do agree with some of the comments people make about them: songs sound the same, TOO melodic, lyrics from fairy tales etc.; their earlier work is what set the bar for them. Another point: I LIKE Dragonforce but I'm NOT fanatical about them.

142. writes:
Johnny Boy: "Verbal abuse of bashing"? Did you mean AND bashing? I think you are a confused boy Johnny. As I said, I find that odd. You can backtrack all you like, but don't expect anyone to take you seriously. This site is not like other metal sites in that; there are a lot of very cool people on this site. What we do is what we do. If yu don't like it, by all means go back to the inferior metal sites that you are obviously used to posting to. If you choose to post here, be aware that we are a tight knit group and when you do things like "I ought to slap you son" to one of our metal brothers or sisters in the defence of Dragonforce you should expect retaliation.

@Red - "leather thigh pants, hot dogging, long curly hair on purpose have never been associate with being straight."
Yeah, but judging people by their appearance has always been associated with posers. You must be weak to be so fearful of being associated with homosexuality as to ignore someone's music. As for the rest of your post, it just goes to show that you can't get past what people say and do, and judge music for what it is.
Post 138, well said.
Priest rule, Painkiller is the best in my opinion, then probably Screaming for Vengeance/BS. One of my fav Priest songs actually has Ripper Owens at the helm - "Cathedral Spires".
Now Playing: Rainbow - "Tarot Woman"
167. writes:
Cynic: I would definately have a problem naming my favorite Priest song. There were so many that for me to nail it down would be impossible. Cathedral Spires was a good one though for sure. Victim also comes to mind. Are you out of school yet?
NP: Almost Gone - Mushroomhead.
171. writes:
Wow weird top two their Bruno - Sad Wings was the first Priest I heard and it nearly turned me off them until I heard Painkiller. "Hell Patrol" is my ultimate fav.
Yeah BlindGreed I finished uni for the year not long ago, now I've got a weeks holiday before I start work. Using it wisely by watching The Daily Show online... and MU of course! What about you?
Now Playing: Opeth - "Mellotron Heart"

175. writes:
Cynic: Working as usual :-( Looking forward to the four day weekend though.
Bruno: Yep, I still have it. I'll burn you a copy tonight and get in the mail ASAP.
Kali: I think there was more to it then that honestly. They had been having their differences for a while before the break up. I don't think they "kicked him out" for comming out. Seriously, when you live with someone on the road for as many years as they did, they had to know or at least have their suspicions before he came out.
NP: 13 - Mushroomhead.

178. writes:
Cynic- Just my opinion, bro. My second choice was Painkiller, though. There performance this year at Metal Masters was incredible. I did also eat an eighth of shrooms before the show.
I almost lost it during Overkill by Motorhead! it was f***in' intense, to say the least.
183. writes:
BlindGreed- What can I say, day of the show they were offered so I was said, "Why not?" The crazy thing is the exactly same thing happened to me when Heaven and Hell came to town with Alice Cooper. I spent no effort what so ever to get them on both occasions, they just feel into my lap. Also, I feel there is no point for me to ever eat them again because nothing could top the experience I had at the Metal Masters tour.

Shredder: My friend Jay Jay played with Halford ( the bass... get your mind out of the gutter) in Fight and I can tell you that I have seen him with chicks that would make your jaw drop. I personally believe that he went boh ways for quite some time. Regardless, he is a metal God. BTW, you aint missin a damned thing at Blabbermouth. This is the place to be. As Kali pointed out, it's like a high school prom (exelent analogy Kali).
Johnny Boy: post #142 is for you, if you haven't red it yet; you need to.
Red: Are all of the zombies dead now?
NP: Flesh storm (while I burn a CD for Bruno) - Slayer \m/!!!

221. writes:
its funny about halford. even after he came out as gay, no one cared. and why would anyone? he's one of the best metal vocalists ever.
my fave priest albums are: painkiller, angel of retribution, defenders, vengeance... hell, all of them. but what really impresses me the most about priest is how much they've progressed as a band. each album has a different sound/style. and its quality material.
i wasnt big on sad wings or rocka rolla the first listen, but they've both grown on me and i really enjoy both now.
now playing: kamelot - new allegiance
222. writes:
Blindgreed, nope those bastards keep coming, I mean there are some part of the game where you literally have 200 zombies coming in. But you just shoot the sh** and enjoy the show.
Otherwise there is a little snowstorm right now, it's pretty and i love it cause it means SNOWBOARD !
224. writes:
Kali: Captain Spalding!!! I love that fried chicken!
Red: lol. Are they fast zombies or slow zombies? Slow zombies are the best IMO.
AP: Fight did a lot of Priest at their live shows. It was kind of a heavy grinding Priest which I enjoyed. Also, Jay Jay did Kerry Kings ink and the disign of the KK signature guitar. Pretty cool if you ask me.
NP: Catalyst - Slayer

Mornin to all
Bg1 - I finished that movie last night, and I must agree.... FUNNNY AS HELL..!!
Not really sure how we got into a discussion of JP while chatting on a Motorhead thread...but oh well...?? Carry on..!!
I still say... old Priest is the best Priest.... of course being the old guy around here.... (besides Bg1)
I feel the same way with alot of metal bands.... Maiden, Scorpions even AC/DC among others.... the older stuff is the best...!!
227. writes:
godlike: Motorhead was on the bill with Priest back in July/August along with Testament and Heaven and Hell. I think that's how we went off on a tangent. I thought you would like that movie. Like I said, I'm buying it when it's available. That scene when he's sitting on the swing crying is just priceless. lol.
228. writes:
Yeah, oddly enough I found myself laughing hysterically at that moment...!! Of course, I laughed alot through the whole movie.... the opening scene, when the guy is trying "item 9" for the government experiments had me already knowing it was going to be a funny movie.... and it didnt fail..!!
Oh yeah, I guess I forgot about that tour.... Its tough to keep up, when ya dont see too many concerts anymore.... Although, I really wanted to see that one... mainly for Heaven and Hell.... The Dio years of Sabbath are my favorite two or three Sabbath albums..!!
229. writes:
godlike: Dio did not dissappoint. He hasn't missed a step over all these years. The man is a God behind the mic. Out of all the bands on the bill, they impressed me the most. During Vinny's drum solo, one of his tom towers kept trying to fall over so he was beating the hell out of one set then reaching back to grab the falling tower so that he could beat on that set and never missed a beat. It was absolutely awesome.
230. writes:
Bg1 - thanks for sharing that moment... The Heaven and Hell DVD is something Ive been looking forward to owning, since the news was released of them doing a tour..!!
Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are my favorite Sabbath albums....Live Evil was another great Dio/Sabbath album.. and then it would be Born Again with Ian Gillian..!!
234. writes:
Bg1-..another classic metal voice that doesnt get alot of recognition.. Ian Gillian..!!
For Born Again getting such horrible reviews and Mr Gillian being so unhappy with that album...
I think it kicks a$$... and is far superior to anything he has done since that time of his career....
Not much of a fan of Deep Purple without Blackmore.... Morse is good... but its just not the same..!!
235. writes:
godlike: I agree. Born Again makes anything since it's recording by Gillian pale in comparison. I think Ian was in a state of flux during that period and he chose the rock and roll side of music as opposed to the "darkside". I think he should have stuck with the "darkside" because he did it very well. That laugh on Disturbing the Priest was just spine tingling (especially live). Still, he is a living legend and far be it from me to say what he should or should not do.
NP: Halo - Machine fvcking Head.

238. writes:
One of my particular favorites from the Born Again disc is "Hot Line"....Gillians voice in that song is amazing... Ive played that tune for some younger metalheads over the years and they dont have a clue who it is...but the first impression is "wow that kicks a$$"..!! LOL
Morning Kalis.... how goes it today...?

241. writes:
godlike: I would have to say in all honesty Dio, Ozzy (for the classics), and Ian are my favorite BS frontmen (and in that order). Tony Martin would be bringign up the rear. TYR was a good album IMO, but you just can't hold a candle to the first 3 guys...
NP: Wolves - Machine fvcking Head.

248. writes:
godlike: Agreed, I saw them (Badlands) up in Phoenix with Pantera and Chris Poland and Metelocalypse. What the hell are you doing out here?". He said, that he always comes out into the crowd to listen to the sound quality. I was impressed with his attitude, and he finally got me backstage so I figure... We're tight now. lol.
Kali: Girl... You crazy!
NP: None But My Own - MFH!!!

Zombies...man I love em so much, it always looks like it's fun to shoot them or beat the sh** out of them. I mean it's legal, they are almost human so you can f*** the head of your stupid neighbour without the law trying to screw you. You can play games with zombies and here are a few of them : 1- head shot champ, see who is the best sniper, you get 5 bullets and the one with the most head shots wins another 5 shots. 2- truck stop, see who can run over zombies the most with a snow plower on half a tank of gas. 3- zombie run : outrun a horde of zombies on 100 meters and see who gets the fastest time (only works with the fast zombies) 4- find your zombified relatives : drive around the city and the one that can identify the most relatives wins the right to feed an emo kid to the zombies 5- Zombie stampede : ride a restless zombie and the one who last the longest with the best style wins a flame thrower.
I am ready for the zombie apocalypse, are you ?

269. writes:
Red - what game is it that you play with zombies...? Im not much of a gamer... I was just wondering if my ol ladies kid might have it... hell, he has every other "cool" game within a day of its release....an thats because they are pre-ordered so he doesnt have to wait...!!
270. writes:
AP: You are welcome brother.
RED: I assumed they would be fast zombies, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Slow zombies are better in movies and nightmares (or free horror movies as I like to refer to them). lol.
Kali: Where do you get your silver jewelry? My house was robbed 2 years ago and they got all of my Gothic Queen's silver jewelry. I am trying to find a good place to get the stuff and suprize her for Chrimbo (I love that... Thanks Irish).
So... Here's the deal gang: I am going backstage to get an interview with Mushroomhead tonight. What kind of questions do MU readers have for them regarding their upcomming album/tour? I will take it straight from the boards to their ears tonight. I already planned on asking several questions about the new album (i.e. who's producing it, what can we expect in terms of heavy/slow vs. hard and fast etc.). I already ran it past Deathbriger and he's going to post the story as long as I can pull through on my end. The only thing I will not ask is anything regarding Slipknot vs. Mushroomhead because it's so over done and cliche at this point. What say you? I will need your replies within the next 6 hours.
NP: The Fallen - Mushroomhead.

Kali: Yeah, out of everything the bastards took, that hit her the hardest. It was the week before chrimbo too. That's why I like to try to replace a little each year. Jenny - Yes, thats exactly what that is..! A chicken breast deboned wrapped in stuffing, placed inside a deboned duck breast, wrapped in stuffing and then placed inside the deboned turkey breast...
Takes about 5 hours to bake orso (depending on the size).... when you slice through it, each slice contains a peice of each type of bird with stuffing in between....
There are many ways to do them... last year I made one with pheasant in place of the chicken...that was great.... used cornbread stuffing with that one... mmmmm !!!

Jenny - Yes, I am quite a cook... while growing up, my mom cooked for a huge nuthut (mental hospital)..... the place had its own farm so everything was home grown and made..!!
She ended up retiring as a cook/caterer..!!
My first job out of high school, was manager of the kitchen at a local resort/hotel.!! I have a cousin and a nephew that are certified/schooled chefs also.!!
Oddly enough, my nephew the chef, works and lives where mhd101 is from..!!
ap1 - yeah man.... if you ever get the chance....check em out (the turducken) my ol lady has ordered them online from a place in Louisiana called the Cajungrocer.com I think..??
They offer a few cajun style turduckens with shrimp and sausage stuffing etc.... they even make em with different combos... like a quail/duck/pheasant/ or grouse .....???
good stuff indeed...!!
I enjoy me some cajun food now and again.... the night before Thanksgiving I made Jambalya with shrimp and sausage... and had some cornbread on the side.... mmm
There are even videos on youtube showing how to make a turducken... its quite a process but well worth it in the end..!!
