Megadeth Posts Studio Update

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has posted the following update online:

"How is yer weekend my lovelies? I am having the best time ever! Andy and I started recording some guitar parts and we were going over some lyrics and thanks to our beloved webmaster, I was able to immediately make my point with our correct approved versions of the Megadeth lyrics. And just so you know how dedicated this webmaster is, he is going to go over all of the lyrics again to make sure that we still have the latest and greatest versions of all your favorite Megadeth songs and their lyrics.

"We are nearing the end of Shawn's stay until he comes back to start jamming with me and Chris, and he has been non-stop help the whole time. I want to start my own 'Shawn appreciation thank you thread'; but I won't because I know you guys will. Is this guy the coolest or what?

"So, on top of Shawn finishing off loads of clean-up and sorting out gear and setting up his live drum room that you will, or already have seen; or being moral support for Andy, or just whatever, thank you Shawn. This was so important for you to be out here; not for the extra set of arms, but just so that you could feel the process of laying down roots here. I can't wait until you come back and we put more stuff down and I have more for you to look at.

"Andy Sneap has been a maniac here working from morning till night, non-stop, dedicated, and really brings a breath of fresh metal. When we started this project, Brandon Webster, our Lighting Designer and Operator said he knew where there were some buildings I could get into for cheap, so we went and looked and found this place. Let me assure you, our initial idea is NOTHING like what the studio has turned out to be.

"Andy brought all kinds of design ideas on how to build the studio and Brandon soundproofed the walls, he had so many of his friends or contacts come too that dialed the "ground" or should I say "grunt work". There was new carpet, new drywall, new doors, new hardware, new flooring in the baths, and great crisp colors for the studio - both in the rooms or alone in the control room.

"Of course you know that Shane (MrJustice) has been coming out here and installing the server of doom for me to keep the clients happy. Shane is back out again this weekend doing the last round of construction with the wiring, cabling, and setting up the servers, backing up the drives, taking apart all the sh*t that didn't work. He also took the laptop of my step-father-in-law (who doesn't really like me) and fixed it. We found out that he had been being scalding by geek squad's prices, much to my chagrin, and a few hundred dollars later, because he didn't want to ask me to help; guess he thought I was too busy. I am not.

"Jeff Payne and Hatch Duffy have been instrumental in getting a lot of the loose ends tied up. The warehouse is finally organized up to my standards after almost ten years of having different stage managers and losing stuff every time I would bat an eye. This included all of the internal and external business cases and its contents, and all of my personal stuff too. Hatch and Jeff painted and he had his friend and his brother come and make the stairs at the studio. And also do the lofts over the rooms we built for us to store out touring gear up there.

"As I mentioned, Brandon has been really pulling the whole wagon train here and his last referral for an electrician named Bryan Escobedo of Custom Electric in the (760) for us is one of the best electrical contractors I ever have used; Bryan is also a musician, so I am going to help him a teensy bit to pay him back.

"Brandon has been a star at the studio and I would be this far along or this well, and it is always a great moment when he walks up holding his little boy of less than two I think come into the studio and ask me my name every time he sees me. It looks funny too because it looks like Tom Thumb is walking King Kong (exaggerated intentionally for affect).

"There is one person that needs to be mentioned out of the pack though, and that is a man named Kent that Brandon approached and I will explain that one in a post all its own.

"Chris is coming down tomorrow and I look forward to going over all of our gear and start working on tracks with me and Andy, so I will keep you posted on him and the awesome products he installed here at Vics Garage. I am going to have about a week off at the end of next week to keep going over song ideas and parts for this project and I am so excited to see the path is getting cleared in front of us for another heavy and exciting Megadeth record.

"Besides that, I am still working hard on the next version of TheLiveLine.com, helping Pam with her coffee company, writing my book, working on some possible radio stuff, a killer secret from back east, the Judas Priest tour, Gigantour, and getting Electra a horse.

"Am I busy? You guessed right! But I love it and like I said, I am having the time of my life. I am aware of all the buzz at the site about me and what I am doing or did or will do, and I just want to say, I am the luckiest guy in the world to have you as my fans.

"So, have a great weekend, stay out of jail, and when in Rome . . . do as many Romans as you can."

Fuc_ YEAAAHHH, make it THRASH , THRASH and more THRASH mixed with Youthanasia and Rust.
If you made the whole album (or close to it) like the last 3 minutes of "Burnt Ice" from UA, that would sell a million (Loved UA), but let's face it we all want to here you make the ultimate thrash album.
Happy hunting, and good luck!
