Celebrities To Attend Dimmu Borgir Frontman's Wedding

PRNewswire has posted this report:
Actress and philanthropic fashion designer Christina Fulton (THE DOOORS) has announced her engagement to Stian Thoresen, also known as Shagrath, front man for the Black Metal band, DIMMU BORGIR. The couple will wed in a private sunset ceremony on September 20, 2008, at the world-renowned Prekestolen in Norway.
"Fate brought the two together. It's absolute romance in its purest form, a fairy tale of a king and queen," said Fulton's son, Weston Coppola Cage, who will be giving away the bride. Cage's father, actor Nicolas Cage, will attend the ceremony, along with celebrity participants Rob Zombie, Jim Carrey, Patricia Arquette, and Marla Maples.
Christina Fulton, Stian Thoresen, and Weston Coppola Cage are currently in Sweden where Cage is recording the debut album of his Black Metal band, EYES OF NOCTUM, for Morbid Rose Records, a label managed by Fulton.
Following their honeymoon, Fulton will return to Los Angeles to resume work on her reality show for Tijuana Productions and to preview the latest collection in her FULCAGE clothing line at MAGIC Marketplace. Weston Coppola Cage will play a lead role opposite his father, Nicolas Cage, in the feature film, Scared Straight, currently in pre-production.
Thoresen will tour the US this autumn alongside DANZIG on the Blackest Of The Black tour. The release of DIMMU BORGIR's new three-disc DVD, "Invaluable Darkness", is expected this October.

Well, I know that Nicholas cage's son opened up for them once, so I'm guessing that him and the dad are fans and most likely personal friends, and Jim Carrey loves crazy Death Metal like Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel, so I'm guessing at some point he got involved personally with these crazy bastards along the way too.
And Rob zombie is Rob Zombie. He should be invited to everything.

Jim Carrey and Patricia Arquette - dear god, is Dimmu Borgir approaching celebrity status?? It makes a lot more sense about why Weston Cage got to come on stage and open up for Dimmu awhile back though. I kind of feel sorry for the kid, because if his band ever gets anywhere people will always claim it's because of who his mother is married to.

I hope you're right Kalis, seeings how I've only just recently begun to embrace them. Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed by all of their albums but In Sorte Diaboli just pushed them into favorite status with me. But if for some freakish reason they do drop the black metal ball, I think Behemoth will be right there to catch it.

I regret myself for not seeing them live TOGETHER, because that tour came up as soon as it became apparent that I was flat-broke, so I missed that, but at least Dimmu is giving me a second chance, so it's all good lol.
I actually can' think of anyone to take DB's place though, nobody really comes close in my mind to how epic their music sounds, but Watain would be nice to see with either of those bands anyway.

I think it's cuz Shag is marrying the relative of a celebriy. (Cage)
If I got married the only celeb who would be allowed to attend Is Samuel Jackson. That man is the sh**. Oh ya, and like I said, Rob Zombie is invited by default. Jim Carrey could come to my bachelor party though. Bachelor party = Metal concert but all the women are naked and they can only mosh in the mud. :)
Now Playing: Samadi- Ashes of Yesterday

It's funny I was just wondering that myself. I tried to find their music, but their myspace has nothing on it yet and all you can find on youtube is 30 second clips of his drummer i guess. In the first two vids it has music playing in the background, but it just sounds like he's playing Divine Heresy on a cd to me, so I don't know if it's actually HIS band's music playing, or DH's. Other than that I've got nothing.

Sounds pretty cool to me actually.. I never knew Jim Carrey was a death metal fan until a few months ago and it just blew me away.. Nor did I know that Weston Cage was in a death metal band.. if anyone finds out if they're any good, let us all know!
All that talk about Behemoth earlier made me want to listen to them again.
Now playing: Behemoth - "Conquer All"

I know Jim Carrey likes Morbid Angel; he tried to get them into the ace ventura movie but ended up getting Cannibal Corpse instead, regardless it's still awesome. I am surprised as sh** that Cage is into Metal. Will smith's wife has her own Metal band, although I just can't stand her voice trying to scream, it's too pretty to sound right. It would be interesting to know who else in the cebro-f*** world listens to Metal. I would love to mosh with Oprah.

Lol, that would be hilarious. I pity people in the crowd if Oprah body-surfed, though.
I've heard about Jada Pinkett-Smith's band, Wicked Wisdom, but I've also heard they suck so I never bothered to check them out. I'm not going to waste money on a CD if I don't like them.

I want to mosh with Cage's son. I do hope his band is good. Would not surprise me as Nick Cage does kick ass!
Dark funeral, I do agree with you. Even if Dimmu end up being mega-metal stars, so long as they keep up the great work the throne is rightfully their's.

That_One_Guy: Wicked Wisdom is a worse Otep...Think of it like that...
One of my friends mentioned the Jim Carrey getting Corpse to be in the Ace Ventura movie thing. Mind you, I always thought Jim Carrey was awesome, but that sealed it for me.
My only issue with Nic Cage is the fact that he's gonna f*** up a good movie by making an Americanized version of it. The original "Bangkok Dangerous" is nothing short of AWESOME! Even though the movie is in Thai with English subtitles. f***ING AWESOME! And now they're making an Americanized version with Nicolas Cage, who will kill it....Other than that, I don't hate the guy.

This really is f***ing surreel!!
It would be cool though if Dimmu could find a way into scoring movies for example, I don't think Dimmu will 'betray' its roots and maybe they can really get (black or whatever the f*** you want to call their briliant style) metal to a bigger audience. And Jim Carrey attending this is simply funny as hell. Kind of weird though that Shagrath is getting this famous!

41. writes:
Oh Shagrath what are you doing, im pleased for the guy but surely he's not being married in the eyes of god. Or maybe all the antichrist content of the bands work is all an act, who knows?
Btw how cool would it be to mosh with Jim Carrey, im surprised he hasn't got his own metal band.
