Quo Vadis Parts Ways With Three Members
Canadian death metal band Quo Vadis have parted ways with their vocalist, drummer, and bass player. The band issued the following statement on their MySpace page:
The reason of this press release is to inform you that vocalist Stéphane Paré is leaving the band along with drummer Yanic Bercier and bassist Dominic ‘’Forest’’ Lapointe.
'As of today, July 13th, we are officially leaving the band for various reasons. As for the shows that are already booked, we are still going to perform as agreed, on a professional basis.'
This decision is the hardest for drummer Yanic Bercier as he has been in the band since day one, 15 years ago. As for vocalist Stéphane Paré, he was in the band for more than 5 1/2 years.

You can't be serious! While i've always been impressed with Yanic's immense drumming, the bassist Dominic was my favorite part of the band. The stuff he played was amazing and as a whole, quo vadis is one of my favorite bands. To be honest zMetaLlica, i'm not sure if i even want Quo Vadis to continue on. If only one member left, it wouldn't be too big of a deal but now that three members are leaving, i'm afraid they might change their sound entirely.
If they are capable of putting out the same quality stuff they have in the past, then i'm all for it. My biggest fear probably is that they might do what other bands do that are past their prime and put out a release that ruins their reputation (ie. Cryptopsy). I'll still give their new stuff a listen though if they plan on finding new members.

damn this sucks! i would have loved to see them live next time they came around on a tour. hopefully the remaining members find replacements. I don't nkow how much that would help as a founding member left.
