I didn't like All Hope Is Gone at all, Psychosocial wasn't great either but the chourus wasn't bad. I'm not expecting this to be album of the year (though I'm sure such magazines such as Kerrang! will rate it as one) but I'm sure they'll be a couple of tracks I enjoy.

I am getting my first chance to see Judas Priest on August First. I am very excited.

On topic, the tracklisting doesn't reveal anything too exciting. I want to see the album artwork more than anything. I just hope it isn't as retarted as the new Dragonforce album artwork. I almost cried laughing so hard looking at that thing.

I do like (not love) the new songs and I will buy the CD because I like Slipknot but I, by no means, am their "biggest fan".

Slipknot is only a good/above average band to me, and is far from being one of my favorites. In my opinion, their "signature Slipknot sound" on the first two albums was ok and produced some good songs, but it was incredibly immature lyrically, and really not even very heavy compared to hundreds of other bands. I feel that on Volume 3 they matured alot musically by making their sound more dynamic, and lyrically Cory Taylor matured as well. The lyrics still weren't anything special, but at least he wasn't going out of his way to swear as much as possible. I can't help but cringe when disgruntled kids talk about them going soft, when they were actually relatively un-heavy to begin with.
