I have heard Vermillion Part 2 - Bloodstone Mix. It sounded pretty good. I don't know if I will like it now, though.

I didn't like All Hope Is Gone at all, Psychosocial wasn't great either but the chourus wasn't bad. I'm not expecting this to be album of the year (though I'm sure such magazines such as Kerrang! will rate it as one) but I'm sure they'll be a couple of tracks I enjoy.

Thats stupid that theres an itunes exclusive track and a remix to a song from a previous album. Other than that looks good though.

Diamond,
I am getting my first chance to see Judas Priest on August First. I am very excited.

On topic, the tracklisting doesn't reveal anything too exciting. I want to see the album artwork more than anything. I just hope it isn't as retarted as the new Dragonforce album artwork. I almost cried laughing so hard looking at that thing.

Slipknot has not really impressed me since Iowa. Like all bands they will change through time but, some band stay true to their sound even though they test other waters. Slipknot, to me, is not one of them. I feel that the "true sound" of Slipknot was best stated on Iowa. I think I'm having the same feeling that most of y'all are having: "What happened to their sound? When will they sound like (fill in the blank) again"? Am I wrong with these opinions? I do like (not love) the new songs and I will buy the CD because I like Slipknot but I, by no means, am their "biggest fan".

Slipknot is only a good/above average band to me, and is far from being one of my favorites. In my opinion, their "signature Slipknot sound" on the first two albums was ok and produced some good songs, but it was incredibly immature lyrically, and really not even very heavy compared to hundreds of other bands. I feel that on Volume 3 they matured alot musically by making their sound more dynamic, and lyrically Cory Taylor matured as well. The lyrics still weren't anything special, but at least he wasn't going out of his way to swear as much as possible. I can't help but cringe when disgruntled kids talk about them going soft, when they were actually relatively un-heavy to begin with.

I love their first cd, but Vol 3 is their best album so far. This one sounds more like Iowa, that album was a sloppy mess. If it's like Iowa, it will suck, just like the last stone sour cd.

What is wrong with metal fans these days?. All people seem to do on these comment pages is whine about how this album isn't as good as that one blaa blaa blaa. Metallica havn't sounded good since that album, slipknot only sounded good on this album, i dont like the lyrics on that album, i hate the drum sound on that album whinge whinge f***ing whinge. Any metal is good metal especially these days with the crap that's rammed down kids throat's 24/7. Enjoy all METAL for what it offers and stop being so negative towards bands just because they don't make ten albums that all sound like Master of Puppets.

I love how people come on here trying to tell us what to do and enjoy. That to me is the most un-metal thing to do! If they gave an argument or wrote a piece in a comment persuading me that their band is good might dis-agree with them, but would atleast respect them for it!
