Elvenking Add Kleid on Vocals
Italy's Elvenking have announced the addition of vocalist Kleid as the official frontman for the group after Damnagoras was forced to quit due to mounting health problems, and the inclusion of violinist and keyboardist Elyghen into the fold.
"He already recorded the preproduction demos of the new album, and the results are amazing," exclaimed Elvenking of the new vocalist. "More than this, the sound is enriched by Elyghen's violin and keyboards, which will define brand new folk atmospheres. Elyghen already helped the band in Heathenreel, recording the violin tunes. Everyone in the group is happy to have these folks on board, we're sure they are totally fit for the band, both as musicians and as individuals."
In similar news, Elvenking have revealed a few song titles from their as-yet-untitled third album. "Pathfinders", "Jigsaw Puzzle", "The Perpetual Knot", "Midnight Circus", and "The Moonchariot" will see their way onto the album, which is said be "developed in more mature way, with a lot of different feelings and emotions." Ex-Skyclad frontman Martin Walkyier has also penned lyrics for one song and is rumored to be contributing a few vocal lines to the opus. Illustrator Travis Smith is to return for the artwork portion of the Elvenking experience. Smith's work is said to have a "strong runic atmosphere."
Elvenking's new album should see the light of day sometime in spring 2003 on AFM Records.
