The wording is kinda weird in this article, but what happened is the guy that was DEFENDING the girl's honor was stabbed, not the offender in question.

To me, that's even more psycho. The dude is in the wrong already, and then kills the guy who was telling him off. f***ed up motherf***er.

I know I would have tried to fukk up White, whether I got stabbed or not, if he threatened me in that manner. He probably blindsided Johnson..plus the other guy may have been intoxicated, or on drugs. Speculation, of course, however, he[White] should have his a$$ handed to him very soon!

you must remember that there are two sides to every story. brian white also has a family. this is saddening them as well. while chris' family is thinking brian is some psycho that came back just to kill him, brian's family is thinking they are crazy for thinking that because they know him better than that. if you look at brian's photo on any news site, you will see that he did get his a$$ beat and quite possibly was defending himself in the only way he felt he could at the time. he had a concussion and fracture under his eye. i feel for the family of christopher and am saddened by their loss, but lets not forget that brian has a family that love and support him as well. i doubt christopher was innocent in all of this. did he deserve to die, no. but anyone backed in a corner with no other way out would do the same thing. you are a liar if you say you wouldn't.

Actually Angelique, there are three sides to every story. Side one, which is person A's portraial, side B, which is person B's portraial and there is side C, the truth. White may have a family too, but it seems he doesnt give a sh** about them if he is dumb enough to pull out a knife on someone like he did.

I noticed a while back that you listened to inordinate amount of Pig Destroyer lol, So I figured you would be the guy to ask which album of theirs should be my first buy. So far, I've enjoyed everything I could get my hands on out of Phantom Limb and the little bit I've heard off Terrifyer bodes just as well in my musical taste. When you suggested before to get The War Within from Shadows Fall, it was for me, an excellent purchase that I still relish; thusly, I assumed you would know better than most the most satisfying album to look into for Pig Destroyer.

You're asking the right person--I'm an obsessed fan. Glad you like "War Within". "The Art of Balance" is just as good.
To the point.
"Terrifyer" has some f***ing -crazy- parts. "Towering Flesh", "Grave Dancer" and "Soft Assassin" are criminal insanity put to music.
"Prowler in the Yard" has a more hardcore vibe with murder/gore overtones. "Piss Angel", "Pornographic Memory" and "Sheetmetal Girl" are some of their best work.
The truth is--you can't go wrong with either.
They're both similar to "Phantom Limb" which while I love it, is my least favorite of the three. I would start with "Terrifyer" if you like it you will most likely like "Prowler" as well. "38 counts of Battery" is good too but it can't touch the other three albums.

Most people in a moment of rage, such as Brian White (possibly) was in. You wouldn't think of the consequences that will/might occur. sh** happens. Maybe do some research or try You-Tube.) So I can more than back up everything I say. I study & teach self defense, from multiple attackers, gun, stick & knife defense & I spar with black belts of many different disciplines at least 3 times a week.
2. What the fck does e-peen mean? Is that supposed to mean p***s? That's fckn dumb.
3. This is the way I like to write....these are not periods.....It means I am being continuous.......
4. Not every death is tragic. Which was a point that I was trying to make. I don't fcn care about that dead guy or that stupid band, so it's not at all tragic for me.

White was overheard talking about becoming a bounty hunter all night that night. Bragging that he would then be able to legally kill someone. The coroner stated that if the knife had entered Chris's chest just 1/2 an inch to the left or right he would have lived. The knife was a direct hit to an artery. I know the people who are left behind in this tragedy and I can safely speculate that the target was no accident. Rage and intoxication played a huge role in whether this bastard would have chosen what he did. Chris was close friends with the woman he was defending. She was not just some chick and he was not just flexing his muscles or practicing PC values (though I know Chris would have helped her out anyways). White was told to leave and to leave out the front because Chris was out back. He came back with the weapon intending to stab Chris. Yes, White's family is going through a hard time but it's nothing compared to what his wife of only one year is enduring.

To those few of you who feel it's necessary to point out that you don't care about Chris Johnson's death -well... my boyfriend hates it when I use the term "suck my d***" because it's tacky for a female to use. This one comes out of storage for You. Aren't you the people who let others drop as well as create fights in pits? You have no sense of community. What part of Man Down don't you understand?
We are trying to perpetuate the memory of Chris. The love he had for punk/metal/thrash and the respect for females in the scene and how hard it is for them to remain a minority even in this day in age. And love for Michelle, his wife. And to the family that I have never met but email me about how this has disrupted their lives and don't know how to go back. It's not Tough or Hardcore or Punk to think that your disregard for a downed member of the scene is irrelevant. This is a community no matter how used to you are of the fact that this is easily accessible through computers and media infiltration. Chris was acknowledged as a decent guy because he lived it. You, Pal, would stick out like a sore thumb in any crowd with in 5 minutes. No matter how you dress. Your soul sucks.

64. writes:
although those paragraphs above are nicely written by some one who obviously knew & cared about that guy & his band, you can't expect people who don't know this person to feel bad or become sappy cuz this guy died. he may have been a great guy & his band may have been fantastic (although personally, i have never heard of them) & i, myself would help a "man down" but just because he was a part of " the scene" doesn't mean that i or any one else should shed a tear for him just because i (or they) are part of the scene. some people offer their personal opions on what happened or don't know what happened or simply don't care. that's life. just cuz you don't like it, don't make it wrong. this toilet earth is a fckin brutal place. be more brutal or be a victim.

65. writes:
This is a commentary about ALL of us. Where we play and where we see shows. About watching the backs of people who are supposed to be in it together. Chris's friends and band mates are beating themselves up every day, going over how they could have protected him from this. I knew the moment I typed the word "scene" it would hit the nerves of some. It has such negative connotations. I, too, have felt them. The scene is this scene. ANY scene. One you care about. Does "community" fit better?
"Man Down" means one of Yours and Mine is gone. Respect to a man who supported all that we have and will continue to fight for. He is one of the reasons this forum exists. Because this 32 year old man kept it alive long before discussion boards like this existed.
I don't expect people to shed tears about this but there are other discussion boards for people who don't wish to discuss this topic. His wife has read her share of A-holes who don't give a F*ck about this and is tearing her hair out about not being able to defend her husband because this is a pending case. The bottom line is that no matter how your hardcore-asses feel, Chris Johnson played his part and deserves the decency of silence or respect.
66. writes:
To Blessed With Hatred : "Be more brutal or be a victim " is a self destructive way of looking at life. I sincerely appreciate your respectful and insightful commentary on my post but I disagree. I feel that fighting the enemy just fuels their force and gives them reason to retaliate against what they have only been waiting to take down. To not engage in what they expect us to consume and "need" will throw them better.
67. writes:
I agree with Blessed by Hatred. If one does nothing, one becomes the easy target. As dorky as it sounds the best quote regarding self defence is on Lord of the Rings "those who donot have swords can still die from them." In Chris's case it proves that to be true. I would rather die kicking and screaming than die doing nothing!
I do hope that Chris's family gets the justice they deserve. I hope that his friends and band mates can find blosure.

72. writes:
Well, do you fully understand what the quote "Those who do not have swords can still die from them" means? Of course those of us who live with out physical defence know the risk. Chris fought with his fists and felt assured that White was gone when he was out back. The man took it upon himself to return and brandish his weapon out of the blue in the second fight. A sucker punch, if you will. Except this was a planned stab instead. No defence or planning for Chris at all. Lifestyle or warrior living aside, he had no choice. He never saw it coming. Period. I'm so sorry, Chris. We're all grateful that Chris didn't even have a Swiss Army. The case is going so much smoother because of it. YAY! For the passive. You don't need anything but yourself.
73. writes:
I am not saying that it was Chris's fault for his death. Maybe he did not get the kind of family that I did that tought me to never let my gaurd down? Then again my family has a millitary pedigree that would make your head spin. Proudly only one has died in battle in Vietnam. Not everyone is as lucky, and not every family battle born.
Do what you want girl, but this woman is not going to let down my guard.
Also, I do understand fully that quote. More than you will ever know!
74. writes:
I'm sorry for that. Guarding ones life is only necessary when needed and not otherwise. I do not live my life like this and I'm saddened for you if you do. I have a 6 year old child and my defences have grown but only slightly, because I have to teach her.
Chris grew in a family that all fended for the same thing. White was a friend of a room mate at the house show. Yes, you never know, but you never know if someone is going to ignore your right of passage when you take that "walk" sign and you feel free to go and they take a right and run you down. You can never prepare to defend death. Not in real life. Some times you can see a threat but the rest of it is completely unlike the movies. Like I said, Chris was blind sided. He had no choice in this. Your way of life would have helped him none unless he had chosen to stab White first. Then he'd be in jail instead of White, I suppose we'd all be happier with that in the long run. At least Chris would be here and not dead.

It's billions of people sharing the same f*ckin rock at the same time. I am 35 and have never wished that my beliefs or attitude had pulled me out of something bad, and I've lived in some sh*t neighborhoods. We all got to know one another. That same neighborhood has been gentrified and is worse than it ever was because no one knows one another or cares. You are what you create. Unless some one with a black heart sets his sites on you. I'd rather go down with happiness in my soul than constant defenses in my head. Call it peace of mind.

I have lived in places where strangers have yelled out the window obcenitys and accuisations based on my apperaces that I am a baby eater. I have been the near victim of rape and due to my ability to defend myself, saved my life and the rape. People are not as kind as you think they are and I have myself had to learn that the hard way. I am greatful for my up bringing that has kept me alive. Seeing Danzig's short self throwing blood was priceless. This was for his debut solo album. '89 I believe. I was ecstatic to be at The Clash of the Titans where it was nothing but a dirt pit. I may be talking main stream metal to you, but this is what I know. Sorry if you feel I am shallow as far as what you feel real metal is. I know it goes WAY beyond this.
I'm not really a pacifist. I have sh*t up my sleeve, especially being a mother. Her dad is an NRA card holder with many guns and I don't like his style either but we are family and that is what is important. You do what you gotta do to survive. Also, I was attacked at gun point on my 20th birthday. I had been walking down a hugely busy street at bar close passing out smokes to drunks coming out of the bars. My sister lived on a side street and the guy nabbed me with my key at the door. He walked me down the sidewalk with his gun stuck into the back of my head. I smacked it away a few times on instinct and felt the trueness of the metal. I had mace in my pocket but that only would have gotten me killed. I turned and looked at his masked face but stopped that when he told me he'd kill me if I looked again. My few dollars were in a hair binder because my army coat had such huge pockets. What was this guy doing mugging a mohawked, combat boot wearing girl anyways? I still don't know! He walked me to the end of the block with the gun in the back of my head and just stood there with me like that. I knew he was thinking. I was thinking that I would either be raped or killed at this point. His get away car had to be near. He told me to turn around and run and if I looked back he would shoot me. Good ole St.Paul, Minnesota. "Where the nice folks live."
This was the one and only time I have ever been truly scared for my life. That was 20 years ago. I must be instinctively smarter or just lucky. I also pick better areas to spend my time.
Blessed by hatred does have something there. I do in my own way.

Well good thing he was not blood thirsty or a rapeist. Never smack the gun downward always up as if he does shoot the bullet only shoots up in the air. If I were in person with you could show you how to dis-arm your assailant.
Self defence classes can be easily found at your local police station and for women are normally free of charge or VERY cheap. You may even find them fun and having the tools to defend yourself will give you more peace of mind.
As for the civil discussion I feel that you have been civil and there is no need to be a cvnt. Nothing of meaning would come out of the conversation. I am not a pacifist, but I am also not the type to start fights everywhere I go.

Actually, I smacked it to the side. Away from both of us. I'll check in to what you mentioned.
I still ascertain that like my hold up, Chris had no way of knowing that this would end with a knife,
therefore would have been unable to apply any sort of self defence. Some times you just get got. And a sh*t ton of people are left p***ed and devastated.

Smacking the gun upwards is much safer as the bullet could end up (even if no one can be seen) going through a building and into an innocent bystandard. "Could" is the opperative word due to the fact that even a hollow point can go through a building and you also never know what bullet type he is packing.
Again, no problem.

Are we still confused here? Chris defended that girl (his good friend). Nobody is claiming that she was any one's "woman".The other guy is only facing jail time. Hopefully the assailant will get what fresh fists in your back has mentioned. Plus some.
Kalis- it seems like the instinctual thing to do to use feet and hands. To keep your body as far away from your attacker as possible. I see your point. This is why training Is a good idea.

You tell an 8 and a 12 year old that the pain of their father going to prison is any less than the pain chris johnson's family is feeling!!! I can promise you brian did not know within an inch where to stick a knife in a man's heart to assure his death! From what I hear there was more than one man on brian and all of them were fair game. Maybe the snotty b**** that got her a$$ TOUCHED shouldn't have thrown such a fit when brian went back to get his things to LEAVE, but was jumped again. f*** you all!

I would be the one to tell the truth about their father. I would tell them that their over reactive father who thinks its o.k to touch any woman where he should not! Then after called out for such an insane indisgression would stab that person! Oh how the truth sets a child free! Glad my parents are who they are!

dont you, kalis wrath, think you are the greatest mother f***er alive. no sins do you have. the kids do know the truth. they know their father had to be pushed to the limit to commit such a horrid act of violence. if 6 a$$holes were taking shots at me and i had a knife, more than one would have felt it that night. brian had a concussion caused by everyones innocent little christopher, prior to the stabbing. these children have never been sheltered from the bitter truths in life. i will teach my daughter to take care of a man who touches her in a way she is not comfortable with, rather than send several guys after the jerk for her. and i will teach my son to defend himself to the bitter end if he feels he has no other way out. too bad everyone is still looking at christopher through their rose colored glasses. i pray there is ONE truthful person at this trial who will stand up and say there was not a fair fight going on to begin with!!!!!!!!!!!!

funny how one of your prior statements claims that sometimes it is the difference between you living or him, and yet you feel there is no way this might have been how brian felt that night?! i wish this man would have not died. i know what it is to love and to lose. i could not imagine the pain of losing a child though...and for that i have the greatest sympathy for this family. i can understand their anger...but i do feel they are going to take that anger too far and take revenge rather than see the truth. the newspapers only tell you so much of what happened that night...this we must not forget.

Angelique, I'm sure Brian White does have a family, but I don't know about the love and support parts of your statement. How anyone could support him after playing grab-ass with some random woman at a party is beyond me.. especially considering he has children. He knew that if he killed anyone (especially with some sort of premeditation like there seems to be) or even attempted to, he would go to prison. He knew his children would be without him and he still did it!

You all are c** guzzling gutter sluts!!!! Do you think that if you and your friends n***** stomped a guy and then let him go and then one guy starts hitting him again that he is just going to take it. If you and your butt buddies all beat me up and then later one big show tries to beat me up again after i am already beat up. Hell i would stab you in the neck a$$ bagger.

I dont even like this Brian guy, but hell how many big shots does it take to hurt some one. Where I come from One Guy Fights One Guy and then life goes on unless it is a bunch of little d***ed insecure peter puffers like these Wooden toys fags, that circle jerk each other after every show. I guess I had better get some of my heterosexual friends to even the odds against all you peter puffers that can't fight one on one. p***ies

^why so needlessly angry? trying to cause another internet fight is not the most obligatory things a person can do in their lives, especially on an article where a fight over something stupid escalated into murder. Much better things can be done with one's time, I'm sure.

i dont think we have too many high school graduates visiting this page. if you can read, and have indeed read all the articles on this so called murder, you would have also read that YES the fight did end, but NO brian did not just go back in and stab this guy. THE FIGHT WAS RESTARTED!!! But it was not restarted by brian. HOW DID YOU MISS THIS IN ALL OF THESE ARTICLES??? glad to see d*** agrees with me!!!!!!!! So go back and read the articles again....i promise you will see that the fight ended but was restarted AND THEN THE STABBING OCCURED. Apparently there are not too many people on here smart enough to realize that the newspaper and tv news have not given you all the details. I am surprised to see a bunch of hard core mther fckers feeding into all the bullsh**. STOP DRINKING THE WATER!!!

For someone who goes on about people not having high school diplmas you sure do have deplorable grammar. Furthermore, you also lack reading interpretation. "So called murder!?" What the f*** are you smoking, or are you from another world? What DO you call it when another person takes another's life?

Arguing and debating about something that has already occurred is not going to revive Chris. We should just mourn his death rather than abusibg for self-power...Let's just combine all of our condolences and wish the very best to all that were affected by this tragedy.

A world where you get stabbed to death for grab-assin' is no world I want to live in. In all seriousness, this is a damn shame, and it saddens me that people are so pathetically over-reactive to let something like that go so far. Looks like Mr. White will be receiving a stabbing of a whole other sort before long.
