"Chris Adler (drums) and Willie Adler (guitars) are now back from a very successful and sold out clinic tour across Germany.
The band is currently hard at work on the upcoming DVD release. Although no official release or title has been announced, late spring 2008 is expected.
The band is also rumored to have begun working on new material. There are also multiple new messages from Chris at his number on TheLiveLine.com. The call is free and no membership is required. The number to call is: 866-944-5262 (if this is your first time calling, you can call repeatedly to hear each additional message)."

how is this news? you told us this like 4 months ago. it said no touring in 08 because its gonna be the most bad a$$ album theyve made. "We plan on taking the entirety of 2008 to reconnect, get hungry and write. Plans never seem to be set in stone with a band, but the idea would be to bunker down with no shows for the year. The next album must be more intense than anything we've done and we don't want any distractions." -chris adler

I used to listen to Lamb of God alot, but now I have drifted to different styles of metal. But I am still excited to hear they are working on new music, and will check this cd out. I didn't think Sacrament was a as good as their previos two releases, and I wonder how many good releases they have in them. But I will say that I have seen them twice, and they have put on the best show that I have ever seen, even better than when I saw Behemoth or Amon Amarth, which are two other killer live bands.

Your not alone man. I like them but I'm not a raging fan.
Of the 3 albums I own they have about 8ish tracks that I really dig. They make a sh** ton of 'decent' songs and filler, but when they hit ("Now You've Got Something to Die For", "Laid to Rest", "Again We Rise" come to mind) they really hit.
I have to agree with DeathinEye too
I got into "Ashes" right off....It's funny though, Sacrement grew on me but it took monthes of casual listening. My first reaction was "not bad", then I felt a little let down, MONTHES later I picked it up and I liked it quite a bit more. My favorite remains Ashes of the Wake--Palaces WOULD be the best but the vox are very static and boring....Blythe dropped the ball on that one....
Curious to hear what direction they head with the next one though.

Yeah, on the topic of certain albums growing on you, etc, I really didn't care for As The Palaces Burn at first, but a number of songs have grown on me over the years. I love 11th Hour and Vigil. I loved Ashes Of The Wake, but it hasn't stood the test of time well for me. Maybe I just played it out though - I don't know.
The first time I saw Lamb of God play since they released Sacrament, I was shocked at how many new songs they played, but I have to admit that just about every song on that album kicks ass, or at least has a killer part (riff, burst or groove) to it.

I've gotta say, I've never seen why this band is so popular. Not dissing them or LOG fans because alot of my mates are fans and they are good musicians, but to me, they're pretty boring. Am I alone in thinking that here?
I wasn't a fan of the whole Burn the Priest sh**, and to be honest, As the Palaces Burn (LoG) is a pretty dead album to me, however, my whole outlook on them changed when I heard Ashes of The Wake. AoTW is possibly one of the strongest albums I possess, the instruments are brutally insane combined, the drumming is absolutely sick as well as the guitar work. Also, the guitar work from Willie Adler is a lot more complex than your average metal band's guitarist, and personally that is what grabbed me by the balls. Sacrament is also brilliant. however, I feel AoTW to be their most strongest album to date.

As the Palaces Burn is really the only album of theirs I can listen to these days. Ashes and Sacrament kind of bored me in comparison and their popularity as "the most metal band on the f***ing planet" gets to be annoying. I kind of miss the straightforward approach they had on AtPB, it was a completely more brutal album.

I couldn't agree more with those of you that said it took a while to sink in. I was super pumped when Sacrament came out, and the first 2 songs just blew me away, but then the rest of the album just trailed off for me. I thought that Palaces with 11th Hour right in the middle made the record stand out a bit more. I find more often then not that their stuff is mediocre, but there are some songs that just flat out blow me away, 11th hour being one.

I agree with most of you - As the Palaces Burn, in my opinion, is their best album. Solid, intense, and intellectual-great song-writing.... Ashes was very strong as well...I didn't like Sacrament as much as ATPB or AOTW. This band just continues to become more impressive.

I really hope their next album can top Sacrament.
