::METALLICA FIGHT ( TRIVIUM, BLACK TIDE) STARTS HERE:: and megadeth and slayer will be in this im sure
but it starts here
my opinion....trivium, black tide, and metallica are boring, forced music, and just psuedo thrash

Good post kk, this is one of my most anticipated releases of the year no matter what the final product is like - would have liked it sooner but the Metallica crew obviously like touring more than being in the studio. Fair enough too, they're not young starving musicians with nothing on their mind but a popular album anymore, they've got families, their own interests etc.
And your not predicting that brandedcfh420, you're the only one who fuels the idiotic flame wars in these threads.
Now Playing: Joy Division - "Disorder"

Ok I take that back, but just try and tone down the personal attacks on "metallisheep" and band members and instead focus on the band and their music. I'm saying this as just another user btw not as a blue haloed one ;)
Now Playing: Hammers of Misfortune - "Unsheath The Sword Of Blasphemy"

well i always let them start the real firfe. i may talk some smak and all, but the metallisheep are the ones who come back with the personal attacks, using the f-bomb every other word, etc....so, when that happens i throw the boomerang back at them.
well, if the band actually put music out, i could focus on it! but since all lars has done is keep talking about how good this record will be over and over and over and over and over again, what else can i focus on??

Why is it that the people who no longer like Metallica, continuously post comments in Metallica related threads? If they no longer like them, why bother reading the article in the first place? How did you find the article? Why waste your time to read it, then waste even more time to write the "perfect" bash? There are bands I hate, but don't go looking for them on the internet just to bash them. We as fans can decide when and when not to like them for ourselves... hmm... maybe there is such thing as "closet Metallica fans" after all...lol hmmmm.... Anyways, I digress...
In my opinion, I think this next album will likely have the potential to be really awesome. I'm not saying "Master of Puppets" awesome... because thats the benchmark thats embedded in many fans minds (or Justice etc.), but something that Metallica fans can come to agree that really kicks ass. I feel confident knowing that the band HASN'T been releasing as much info to the media, as opposed to promoting it as the "best work since the 80's". Sure, they did say it a few times in 2006; however, within the past year or so it has been really quiet, which makes me think that they trashed their original work (New Song and Other New Song etc.) and started fresh on new material - of course - by the direction of Rick Rubin. I believe if they had continued with Bob Rock, you would have seen the end of Metallica for sure. I love Metallica, but they are 'yes' men, and they would have followed Bob Rock in to the sun had he asked them. They needed to take control again, and by chance, somebody may have told them that Bob Rock has to go (possibly Rubin himself) because when they finished the St. Anger CD, they were still thinking Bob Rock was like God to them (watch Some Kind of Monster). They obviously made a decision as a group that enough was enough, it didn't take a psychologist to see that.
In closing, Im excited to see how many closet.... I mean bashers become fans of Metallica (again??) if the new album really does kick ass! And if it doesn't, well Im a fan anyways.
Peace!

we do it because we enjoy expressing our 1st amendment rights. too bad you had to get all "emo" about it!!!

25. writes:
I'm not "emo" (I don't think) and I do believe you have the right to say whatever you want because its your "God-given" right... Not because it's your first amendment right; but, politics before anything in some countries; however thats not the point I was trying to make anyway. The point I was trying to make was why your wasting your time finding Metallica threads, and then wasting even more time writing? Don't you have bands that you do like that you could be supporting???

26. writes:
i was refering the emo comment on how you were expressing your emotional feelings about it...not saying you are an "emo fag"!! if the bands i like were coming to charlotte nc anytime soon i would be able to support them by buying their gear at a show. but since this city is religously oppressed by christian facist it seems that only weak a$$ pop sh1t comes here. so its kinda hard to support any band here.
we come on here to have fun and smacktalk. im sure their has been threads where you have talked mega smack on before. we all have. but when the metallisheep come back with the f-word every other word, it just shows that they are blindly following a band that has turned their fans into toilet paper. regardless of what the new cd sounds like, metallica has both feet in the grave, have to keep flushing worthless news upon the people who already hate them, and still think they are a force to be reckoned with. after seeing some kind of monster, every1 should just hang it up for their support for metallica. any band that needs counselors to help them with their "emo" feelings is at the end of their careers.

27. writes:
what do you mean by 'blind follower'?it can't be in music...i listen to a lot of bands but i find metallica more interesting...that's it...if their music doesn't appease me i would stop listening to them...simple...i don't listen to them just for the sake of it...i like them and so i do...oh!so is it that i should like 'deth more and listen to them more even if i dont like it just because everyone's liking them...CTC!everyone's got his tastes, likings and dislikings...none should have a problem about that...
28. writes:
Well brandedcfh420, call me a paranoid cynic but it's awfully convenient that on the same day you need an example of how you're being provoked on of the most ott personal attacks occurs on you from a mysterious user. My point whether you're provoked or the provoker, flame wars are childish and discussion of bands whether positive or negative is fun!
Now Playing: The Smashing Pumpkins - "Quiet"

red, i know some of my posts make people mad, but the admins here keep putting the same damn article on each new update. if the new update was actually an update, then i wouldnt be the smart-ass i am about it. it just seems that the metallisheep are so blinded with metalli-lust that any negative remark about their wrinkled, geriatric has-been, gotta stay in the spotlight no matter how stupid they look, rock staritis, cant put an album out due to circle jerkin eachother, gods that they flip trips like 2nd graders.

33. writes:
September, huh? What this means in practice is, the album should be finished then recording wise, apart from some mixes and stuff like that. With a band like metallica it'll take 5months for the marketing machine to kick into gear, plus with major labels you need to handle the masters 3-4months to the label before it gets released. Well.. maybe I'm being overly positive here. The only reason why I am interested in this album is to hear what Rubin was able to spank out of Metallica.
34. writes:
Haha, all I was saying that it was awfully convenient if it wasn't you - IP's don't mean much more than using another computer. Adding previous articles onto new ones is the web equivalent of "if you've just joined us, here's the latest" they do on radio shows/news. btw branded - what will you say if the new Metallica album is say, an 8/10?
Now Playing: Sacred Reich - "Rest In Peace" (is it me or does almost every 80s thrash band have a RIP/Pieces song?!)

35. writes:
btw branded - what will you say if the new Metallica album is say, an 8/10?
i will say they finally actually quit sucking eachother off and got back to what they started out as...good musicians..but, even then, i still will not buy the cd. im predicitng an overall 6/10. and btw cynic, im not gonna type some sh1t and try to play it off like im someone else. im not that fukin retarded. i say what i feel, and if it pisses people off, O FUKIN WELL.
37. writes:
^hear, hear.
Cynic, Branded... all I'll say is that the retaliator is just as childish as the instigator. Doesn't matter who started it, whoever's involved needs to grow up.
As for Metallica's upcoming being an 8/10... Well, I f***ing hope so! hahah
Now Playing: Dub Trio - "No Flag"

AJFA, despite some unfortunate production, was the only end to end strong Metallica album post Cliff.
The question is whether they can meet or beat that material nearly two full decades later. I'm looking forward to hearing it--so I can either write off as half-living legends or the come back kings of the genre they pioneered.
Now Playing: Blotted Science - "Vegetation"

I take that back. The lack of audible bass is what makes it almost perfect, while the thin guitar sound and the weird clicking sound the bass drum makes annoyed me at first, I can't imagine now listening to songs like Blackened, Harvestor of Sorrow, title track, One, To Live Is To Die, or Dyers Eve in any different kind of guitar sound or tone, with any different drum sound (as mediocre as he is) and I couldn't imagine myself listening to it without Lars Ulrich behind the kit either, or Kirk, or James. James voice is at his best here and he is actually a good vocalist on this one, while before he was only a good frontman, Kirk's melodic leads are perfect, and the album gives off a prog feel (which is right up my ally lately). All that is lacking is Jason's bass just being heard.
42. writes:
I definitely agree - even if the bass was high in the mix, he was just mirroring was Hetfield was doing. AJFA f***ing owns! Prog owns too, I'll never forget listening to AJFA as a kid. I never understood the production complaints either, if I hadn't read complaints about it I'd probably never have noticed how dry it is. And yep psythe, that's what I was getting at in post 28.
Now Playing: Holy Terror - "Judas Reward"

September eh? Won't hold my breath.
Regardless of if they release in September or not, the world keeps turning. Granted lots of people are waiting for this release but it's not going to change world affairs or anything like that, it's just a bunch of old guys trying desperately to remain relevant

I love Metallica and i aint no metalli sheep so any how...............I like all sorts of music Metallica have evolved to be better than i have ever imagined.
I don't hang on waiting or bother listening to the HYPE regarding an album from any band!
unlike some people that smack the sh!t out of bands.......... brandedcfh420 so much sh!t rolls out your mouth brother.............what are you some type of hypocrite ?

how many times has lars come out and said this and that about this upcoming pile of sh1t they keep claiming will be so "dynamic"..?..so, go on and waste your time and money on them...O AND I LOVE HOW IT SEEMS IM THE ONLY ONE TAKING FLAK FOR SMACKTALKING THESE OLD HOMOS. THERE ARE MORE HERE, AND IM NOT HE ONLY ONE WHO DOES IT..

49. writes:
talk sh1t on sucktallica 4ever! metallica fans are such douchebags! they've let their favorite band crap down their throats for 20 years and they keep begging for more! And whats with the 5 years between releases? Thats ok when you're still a relevant musical force, but when you're a has-been struggling to regain your credibility, you gotta put stuff out faster. It doesn't matter how long they work on it, this album will bomb, it will tank, it will be a pale shadow of what they used to be (which in retrospect wasn't even that wonderful anyway)
as for the production, you think AJFA sounded bad, lets see what rick rubin will do to them! (Slayer's "Seasons in the Abyss" sounds just as bad!) Rubin couldn't mix his way out of a toilet!
