New Avenged Sevenfold Album Available To Stream

Band Photo: Avenged Sevenfold (?)
AVENGED SEVENFOLD will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated "Loveline" radio show with hosts Stryker and Dr. Drew Pinsky tonight (Tuesday, October 23). You can stream the entire thing at www.kroq.com.
In other news, AVENGED SEVENFOLDnew self-titled album can be streamed in its entirety on MTV's The Leak at this location. Due on October 30, the CD follows up 2005's "City of Evil". It will arrive as both a standard CD and an interactive MVI disc.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD is giving fans a chance to create their own guitar solo for the band's latest single, "Almost Easy". Anyone who pre-orders the group's new self-titled album or buys it after it comes out on October 30 at the iTunes store will receive a bonus "jam-along" version of the track minus guitarist Synyster Gates' solo. Fans can then devise their own solo and upload it at AvengedSevenfold.com. The solo picked by Gates as the best will earn the winner a Synyster Gates signature model guitar from Schecter Guitar Research, autographed by the entire band, along with a pair of tickets to an upcoming show where they will meet AVENGED SEVENFOLD.
Lead vocalist M. Shadows told The Pulse of Radio that the band felt "Almost Easy" would set itself apart from other rock tracks as soon as it got on the radio. "Musically, it's just bad-ass," he said. "Like, we wanted to go with the first single being something that was gonna kick ass on the radio and didn't sound like anything else out there and kind of set us apart. Everything's so formula, and what we like about this song is not formula at all. But it's still somehow under four minutes, we've got two guitar solos in there, a guitar intro, a great bridge, bad-ass chorus and some slamming riffs."

Dude I believe you, A7X suck BIG ONES I really hate their style they try to hard to hard to be hardcore as they can. A7X is the most gayest band i've ever seen and heard of. If They ever came to Ottawa I would so throw sh** at them. But other than that, I woldnt see them anyways. They suck A$$. period.

E-teb i agree, although im not a big A7X fan by no means, they r a talented bunch. and by saying there washed up. ????????? is there such thing as trying to hard in music?? what pisses me off is when bands throw down mediocre riffs that any guitarist with 1 years expierence can play, and call it metal!!!!!

13. writes:
lol bastard, you make me laugh so much...your obsession with the word "trying" is hillarious, cause im still "trying", well then, you must know what im "trying" to do.....cause i dont even know what im "trying" to do...you actually cover the fact that you're offended with the illusion that im "trying"...good job buddy

Sorry for getting off topic. I really don't like A7X but I will say that when they started they had some songs that I could at least listen to but I got bored quickly. But these fans keep coming on here using the old "why comment if you don't like them" line it will never stop as long as they are on this web site.

I agree somewhat with the negative commentary here. I loved Waking The Fallen, Sounding the 7th Trumpet was a crock of sh** mainly, City of Evil was musically excellent but a little unfocussed and Shadows new whiny vocal style got on my tits a lot. I'm not sure about this new one at all... it's all over the shop! I would imagine you haters haven't heard the new album, only the new single, probably only heard the singles from COE too, but it's mental. And not necessarily in a good way, thankfully though, Shadows isn't whining so much anymore. But really all this stupid bashing is retarded and juvenile. I used to do it myself, but no-one cares in the end what you think. Only the people who agree with you, or if it's funny. BTW I'm an old school metal fan mainly, theres a lot to like about A7X's music, just don't let their gay image throw you off! They have the best guitar duo I've heard in the last 10 years in mainstream music, and The Rev is probably one of the greatest drummers of all time. Period. Shadows vocals are an acquired taste for sure, but so is Ozzy, Axl Rose, Glenn Danzig and a lot of other great rock vocalists. Don't hate them just coz they're popular and the ladies love them, that's called jealousy kids. Nobody was dissing A7X when WTF came out. It was so much easier to be a fan back then though... now theres all these excitable teenage girls posting "A7X 4 Life!" and "The Rev rulz" everywhere and then theres the emo contingent who "really get the lyrics" and who obviously hate their parents and are completely anti-social. All this makes it hard to take the band on their own merits, of which there are many. I've forgotten my point.... OH YEAH! METALLICA ARE OLD, OVER THE HILL, STUPID AND WILL NEVER MAKE A GOOD ALBUM AGAIN!

"I love A7X and the new album is seriously awesome... but some of the stuff you guys come up with is freakin hilarious. I check this site whenever I feel like laughing. Thats sounds kinda sad. haha"
Aww! That's made me feel quite happy actually!
By the way, I was dissing A7X when Waking The Fallen came out

wow..... i actually just realized how gay everyone can be on this comment board, like with the a7x fans only come back is "if you dont like the band then dont comment" and the haters always saying "syn sucks" and "they suck big d***", i'm 100 % here with comment 25, in away i like a few songs by a7x like M.I.A because it shows the great music they can write and shows through the eyes of a soldier in iraq, i also liked atleast half the songs on wakeing the fallen.really once i agreed with GODLIKE and DIAMOND OZ of how they look queer and make sh**y music, f*** c'mon, thats why i really dont go on here anymore.its just the same thing over and f***in over, "a7x sucks did" no......you do.

So let me get this straight if u dont like someones music that means theyre bad ppl? So wut if theyre freinds with good charlotte i mean in no way am i a fan of gc or a7x doing a song with em but f**k it they do it cus they can. I mean u heard the new album? Freakin nuts its all over the place. And by the way if u look at an interview with them everytime theyre are asked about ppl who hate them such as u guys they always say that theyre not trying to be "Metal" theyre trying to make "MUSIC" and as u kno many ppl take influences from metal becuase its wut they grew up on. But like always ppl fear change or wuts different. I like a7x and u can make fun of me and the rest of their fans but when im at a concert with 30,000 plus im gonna take a look around and say were doin fine with out u...............

Hey BLS, proper enlish is always nice so people can actually understand what you are trying to say. I did listen to Avenged Sevenfold's new album, and it blows. The vocals are a horrible cross between Axl Rose and Phil Anselmo. The guitars frankly got very boring with very predictable and repetitive groove metal/pop rock feel to them. Really, the album blows, another step in the wrong direction for this band.
Post 47: If you have black hairspray over your eyes, I think that means your emo. A lot about the emo culture is how you dress, and that sounds very stereo-typical emo. If you look emo, essentially you are apart of the emo culture, whether you listen to metal or not.

51. writes:
dude, f*** YOU i'm not emo just because i look like it! emo's are just a bunch of kids that think they have it rough and exspress it on them selves by maybe cutting them selves or desecrating their bodies in some other way.well not all emo's do that but i know some that do. the actuall meaning ta being emo is having emotional issues, i have no issues with myself, looking a way has nothing ta do with what you are inside. so i look like it....yes, am i.......no.

56. writes:
Because he's a fa**ot. this isn't my point.
If you look like an emo, you are a part of emo culture meaning you support it by looking queer. You need to f***ing quit this emo look and look and act hetero, you p***y. People who look like you make me f***ing sick you putrid subhuman little sh**.

60. writes:
If you look emo and claim to be into extreme metal. . .you're worse than an emo kid; You're a scenester piece of sh** trying to bastardize good music like Cannibal Corpse with an overload of breakdowns and poorly done "Bree" vocals (I.E. Blowjob for A Cowboy; Suicide Silence).
Maybe thats why metal culture hates even the thought of emo/sceneness, because it destroys something we hold so dear: Good, loving brutal and progressive music.

62. writes:
yea but what if an "emo" kid actually IS into extreme metal?? and not just claiming to be or posing? i think emo goes beyond looks, youre emo if you are at heart. stop thinking about the stereotypical emos with dyed hair, makeup, painted nails, extremely tight clothing, and emotional problems, but try to understand what im trying to say, just cuz someone has emo hair or something like that doesnt make them emo and it doesnt mean they listen to emo music.
By the way im not emo and i sure as hell dont look like one in case youre wondering why im asking so much.

65. writes:
Hey I said "look" emo. Is not looking emo the angst ridden current mall trending hot topic kids that took over once the goth fad was out?
What would you call "being emo" then? Is that not just a euphemism for being depressed? My theory is don't dress the part if you don't play it. You don't see people wearing cop uniforms (aside from say Halloween) because they don't want to be mistaken for one nor have the responsibility that goes along with being one.
If you don't want to be mistaken for emo or have the responsibilities that go along with being emo (whatever they may be) then maybe consider changing the look.
And glad you enjoyed it Oz.
But to be on topic. . .yeah a7x. . .hm. f*** um.
66. writes:
emo in my opinion is fake emotions or once real emotions, but dramatized, making a mockery of bands who actually have passion for what they are doing. Kind of like goth makes a mockery of darkness. it seems both are not completely serious, let alone passionate.
the look usually goes along with emo because the look is just following the crowd and normalcy to fit into the group and idea of the lack of thinking, and feeling... anybody can smoke, drink, and not think your way through life, but not everybody can do the opposite.
although emo is also a generalization so dont always be so quick to judge, maybe they just like tight pants

68. writes:
OK, so I shave my head and have ALOT of tattoos...and I definatly dont cry or cut myself...!!
but I like to wear my jeans a little snug.. ( just to keep the fruit in the loom )...and I always wear black shirts.....but only until they develop a darker color..!!!
Does this mean I am only part emo...or perhaps just emoish....???
Triumph - Lay it on the Line
70. writes:
It's not so much wearing your jeans snug unless you mean you're wear your jeans so tight that your legs look like twigs and you can barely walk in them.
Now playing: Necro- Suffocated To Death By God's Shadow (this one's way more like old school thrash than a rap track!)

72. writes:
i hate people who wear tight pants, and i dont, the only thing i really said was that i have black hair over my eyes so all of a sudden i'm emo? if you guys want ta point the finger at people sayin their emo cause they look like it, the least you can do is know what the f***in definition is! i really dont like emo's because all they do is whine about their lives and dont give a f*** about anything. so next time you guys call some one emo atlest know what it means. and yes i love metal and cant stand that punk-rock no tallent sh**. i dont cut myself.....i dont wear tight pants.....i dont whine about my life.....and i wear no NO makeup cause thats 4 fags.
73. writes:
Ok trying to define a subculture with one single attribute is never going to work. i.e., being emo isn't about wearing tight jeans, nor listening to crappy music, nor fashionable haircuts - in the end it's about a collective of those things and more. There's no hard n fast line to cross into emo-ville, a general gradient in which everyone decides.
And yep FocusShift, that's exactly why most metal fans hate emo stuff so much, because it poses a threat to what we care about so much. i.e. there's probably alot of us here who hate gangster rap music, but no-one complains about it because Necro's the only one crazy enough to try and combine the two (bar sh**ty numetal bands that is, which have had their fair worth of complaints).
Which comes down to my thoughts on A7X, they don't really bother me that much - why? Unlike Job For A Cowboy, Trivium etc they're so far from metal they don't pose any threat.
Now Playing: Doomsword - "Heathen Assault"
75. writes:
Feh.
I'd sooner force bullet ants into my ear canal than listen to any A7X record.
The nasaly/whiney vocals vocals --------COULD NOT BE ANY WORSE----------
I lose sleep over the fact that people love this band...
Now Playing: Behold...The Arctopus - "Sceptors"
.....If the Rev can do this I'd be impressed.

79. writes:
post 65, like i said try not to stereotype the emo look, i dont mean emo as in the way these fags look at the top with makeup and sh*t, if you have tattoos or a bald head does that automatically make you a bad-a$$ motorcyclist?? from experience ive learned to make fun of ppl cuz of who they are, not what they look like and judge too quickly. emo to me means you have emotional problems, not just the way someone looks. just cuz you kinda look like something doesnt mean you are. there are emo ppl who cut themselves that dont even look emo, so in my opinion, f*ck stereotypes.

82. writes:
i think a7x are a pretty decent band, all tallented musicians, but from what ive herd of this new album, its no where near as good as the others. hate it when a band get some success and then think they can pass off any old simple sh** as good quality music. that being said im sure this new album will sell and they know that.
dont know why people come here and get really stressed when people say things like 'a7x sucks' if u like listening to them it shouldnt matter what some nerd sat half way round the world thinks.

86. writes:
Well the gig got cancelled sadly mate so no cover tunes for us though we were dead set on doing the Cheers theme and America f*** Yeah aswell as some Megadeth and other such metal stuff. So I reckon I'll just go to the pub on sunday instead haha!
Now playing: Necro ft Ill Bill- As Deadly As Can Be

87. writes:
doesnt matter if this album is "better then the other albums."
each of their cds is just a steaming pile of sh**!
waking the fallen was just that big lumpy turd that splashed in the water once it came out.
city of evil is like what happens after you eat loads of chinese food and milk
this cd is what happens when your appendix bursts and you stare into the bowl mordified.

god all u ppl talking about emo children ha i woodnt even waste my breath by the way preps are fags any guy who wears hollister or abercrombie and b**** or any other prep brands or goes to the mall to get there clothes i wood consider them gay ha fags carhartt rules up with old metal down with new pop rock fags like mcr

if your dumb a$$ decided to look at the top it would say that this story was barrowed from www.blabbermouth.net, another news site for hardrock and metal bands(affiliated with roadrunner records if i am not mistaken)
except here you dont have to register to comment, and here they dont report everything that comes out of david draiman, peter dolving, or gene simmon's mouth.
obviously somone here just likes to see this band get bashed, which is why it is posted here so we can do so.

107. writes:
Zacky Vengeance knows and admitted in total guitar that they have gone out of the metal genre completely. He seemed pretty confident that they are sticking to the music that they created in the new album, so just a heads up for people who liked the new album, and for people who dont.... which is almost everyone on this site... to keep bashing the new album because it looks like they are sticking to it.

Anyone else notice that all these poser-rock bands' fans all always use that lamegay internet jargen? "omg i ttly luv u a7x! u rox my sox" Just showing that Public Execution is right, the only people who are into music like A7X are people so young they havn't had enough time on this planet to see real talented musicians and their associated bands. Or, they are just a bunch of under educated pedophile 30+ year olds who like pickin' up the 15 and 16 year old tendy goth/emo kids at these shows.
But in response to the topic, free shows are a good idea as long as they aren't like "Freefest" was, and it was nice of A7X to play a show for their fans not old enough to have a job (Approx. 70% of their fanbase I'm willing to bet the deed to my house on).
