Marilyn Manson Post New Single Sample Online

A 31-second audio sample of the new MARILYN MANSON single, "Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides The Hand)", has been posted on the web site of the French public-service radio station Le Mouv'. Listen to it at this location (Real Media).

"Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides The Hand)" is the first single from MANSON's new album, "Eat Me, Drink Me", due on June 5. The track is expected to arrive at radio stations by the middle of this month and will be accompanied by a video shot in 3D. The clip is said to be an excerpt from a larger project that Manson is filming with "Titanic" director James Cameron, although that collaboration has yet to be officially confirmed.
The album will reportedly be available in both a standard and collector's edition.

The sad thing is this man has penned some good lyrics (among lots of bad ones) as recently as Holywood...And John 5 was a f***ing awesome guitarist. This just eclipses the horsesh** that was the Golden Age of Grotesque.

Hell, POAAF is really pretty good sounds a little dated though. Heart Shaped Glasses probably won't be my favorite song on his new album, but it's something new, and that's what I like about manson!

I have always felt that each one of Mansons albums followed a theme that just listening to one song didn't allow you to get the full blast of what he was trying to say anybody agree with me?

First of all, apologies to all that I didn't notice the spam here. I expected that a thread like this would generate a lot of comments, and had not checked in on it in a while. I cannot keep up with every thread all the time and in fact I was on business travel for a week of it. Someone from the staff should have dropped me a line that the thread had been targetted though.

LiquidMetal.77, if you ever contribute to the spam problem like that again, I'll ban your account. You didn't do anything but make the problem worse, and nothing to help it.

I've got a plan to reduce the spam comments (I already put a number of measures in place, but these people are spamming manually), but I've got a lot on my plate and need to find the time to implement it. For the time being, be patient and just ignore them.

As to what the spammers gain? I don't know because I strip out all links, but surely they are too lazy to look to notice that. Most spammers spam to gain links for 1) search engine visibility/optimization and 2) visitors. Seeing that they are getting neither here obviously isn't a deterrent (especially if they don't care to look) - just like email spam it's obviously all about quantity over quality.
