While there's not expected to be any official announcement for a while confirming bands for this year's Download Festival, the latest rumours put the following in the frame: Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, My Chemical Romance, Tool, Heaven And Hell and Machine Head. Tickets for the event, happening at Donington from June 8-10, should go on sale next month.

Overpriced, crap line ups each and every year...
Its cheaper for me to fly abroad than go to the midlands to the download fest.
If Maiden play i may get a 1 day ticket.

I thoroughly enjoyed Download when I went. At the end of the day I can say that I was at the front for Black Sabbath and loads of other bands I love. But unfortunately they often book alot of sh**. I actually wanted to get a hold of Billy Idol that year as back in the 70s my dad threw a brick through his window and I promised him I'd try and get it back. From what I heard about last year though it seemed bollocks. Look how high bands like Funeral For A Friend were on the bill! Dear me!
