Hmm, saving metal? I doubt it. I wasn't impressed at all when I saw them live and don't think they're much cop albumwise either. I'm not really slagging them off because they're all good and everything. I just don't see how they can be championed as the saviours of metal.

i love these guys. this is totally not my kind of metal, but these guys are cool. they dont take themselves too seriously, and they do rip at times. they seemed to be heavier when JDL was the lead singer though and id like to see a return to that instead of whining about roses and sh**. Oz is right, good band, but not exactly saving metal.....not doing it any harm like many of their spawn are, but not saving it either.

yea, trivium is newer(slightly) than kse, i cant see any resemblance in their sound though. plus trivium are much more talented musicians than kse. kse has some outstanding songs, like fixation on the darkness, rose of sharyn, and the end of heartache. the rest of their songs are pretty mediocre though. ill still like to give this album a listen though.

I have already downloaded the album and let me tell you..It is a f***in awesome album! Also reading some of the comments above I dont think that Killswitch sound anything like Trivum. I think in osme ways Trivum are heavier. That is just what I think. If anyone has got anything to say to this then concact me via hotmail. My e-mail address is hell_girl_666@hotmail.co.uk.

Hey Zyklon Man nobody ever said they are the voice of metal for this generation. If I'm wrong then quote whoever said it. And it's Killswitch Engage, not "Engaged". And to tell you the truth man, I'm not the biggest Slayer fan either. But I respect them and I just don't like the singing at all.

I'm quote Kam Lee
"What I do hate is the current state of the overall "metal scene"... the scene in which I played a very crucile part in... the scene in which I even helped create!
Extreme Metal - Death Metal - Black Metal - Hard-Core - Punk... these terms are thrown around and placed in catagories for bands that - by their "true" nature - should not be using these terms to label themselves!
It makes me wanna puke my bloody guts out when some ignorant 14 year old tells me that bands like SYSTEM OF THE DOWN or SLIPKNOT are Death Metal... Mother f***er that makes me ill!
When some prog -metal f*** nut tells me that OPETH is Black Metal I want to ripp his f***ing head off and sh** down his neck!
When some little goth slut tells me that MARY-fa**ot MANSON is Extreme Metal... I wann'a see her a$$ raped by a rhino with herpes!
When some emo-fa**ot kid says the sh** bands he listens to are Hard-core... I see murder in my eyes! (f*** it - I just wann'a murder these emo pukes anyway!) or when some trendy fashion whore says that Gwen Stafane is punk - I wanna beat that b**** with a baseball bat!
My point is... the metal scene has become over run with both bands and fans that have no idea the real history of metal!
I f***ing hate the radio media bullsh** that is forced upon this new generation of mindless monkeys... I blame not only the corperate nut sacks for destroying "my" scene, but also the new breed of bands and fans that have just jumped on the metal band wagon!
This too can be said of the Punk scene... esp. the punk scene and the "true/real" hardcore scene...
f*** it!
Face it my "true" brothers and sisters of the "real"... our scene is lost!"

dude, get a life, jesus christ. why dont you just whine about it. everyone knows the modern music scene sucks. kse is a pretty good band, just because a band has some popularity does not mean they suck. you are no better than any of the people you mentioned. so just see a therapist, get laid or something cause you are too riled up over nothing.

Hey Zyklon Man was that Slayer comment directed towards me? I don't think the Slayer is underground personally. They're pretty damn big! I like underground bands and I like a lot of different music. I just said that I'm not the biggest Slayer fan so you wouldn't go off on me. lol I really just don't like his singing. My opinion, that's it.

correct me if i'm wrong but i'm on a site called metalunderground, so why the f**k are there links to see ads about a coldplay album??? the scene's always been full of 'pop' metallers and elitest c**ts but it could be worse, you could be be listening to coldplay.
