Site Update
Metalunderground.com Downtime Explained
Apologies for the downtime we've experienced lately. Due to the ongoing rain/flooding/storms on the East coast, we've experienced extended down time twice in the past couple of weeks. Rest assured that we have not gone anywhere. In fact, I am planning to move the site to a new host by month's end, which should solve these issues (as that host has redundant internet connections and power generators) as well as improve the site's overall loading speed. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

Oh yeah, the codes will be gone soon. I know they suck. I never really liked them. I planned on fixing them this weekend, but since the server was down, I spent the time working on the new server... So hopefully I'll remove them shortly. Sorry for the annoyance.

good to hear it'll be quicker - it was never really slow, but I've always been a fan of speeding :P
gotta agree with post 1, you've done a well fine job here, deathbringer. In fact, you've done many well fine jobs here, I would suspect, keeping it running and up-to-date all this time. I applaud you.
oh and the codes? slightly irritating, but god knows it's better than that red d***head's bullsh**. it was necessary, and I'm glad you were on the ball about doing something about him. I'd rather those codes than idiots like him any day.

Thanks guys. I'm out of harms way for the most part - new development on high ground = no real flooding and no big trees to crash down, and not near any rivers or creeks either. It's not really anything we considered when moving here, but I'm glad about it now.

OK, I've gotten rid of the annoying code for now. We'll see how things go.
It's funny, I was reading comments about how the code thing sucks and until a few days ago I had not had a problem with a single one. Then all of the sudden, I started getting ambiguous ones and take a couple tried to post each comment. Hopefully I won't have to use them again... Thanks for your patience.

it's great news that the codes are gone, hopefully whatever new system will make it that much easier to get rid of red devil. also with higher loading times people can get past RD faster and not have to wait forever for a page to load that he spammed. keep up the great job and i'm proud to be part of such an amazing project.

evr since logging on to this site a couple of years ago, i have enjoyed it big time. it is one of the very rare examples of media where an individuals opinion can actually matter and spark intelligent debate. most everyone,(most, that is) i've encountered on this site has something relevant to say, and it's good to see all the diversity in tastes and opinions, though anyones statement at any given time on any given subject will piss off a third of the people, agree with a third of the people, and confuse the other third...(LOL), its all good cause were all connected by a love of metal and the mentality, lifestyle, and a site where we can all express ourselves. helluva job deathbringer and crew, and i look forward to posting on the ONLY metalsite worth a sh** in the future.. metal to the core, HIMMM!!!!
