Band Photo: Velvet Revolver (?)
Velvet Revolver, who continue to work on their forthcoming second album, will take a break from the studio in late July for a pair of live appearances. Look for the band to play Kelseyville, California on July 29 and Paso Robles, California on July 30.
The band had been preparing songs since coming off the road last year and were to have entered the studio on April 10 to begin working on their sophomore effort.

The band's great, and I don't think that thing between axl and VR has anything to do with Scott. It all started long ago, they wanted to make different music, as long ago as November Rain and the UYI tour, and they couldn't tolerate Axl's bossing...
And I hope VR get their second album ready soon, like september

hey Vrfan88, f uck you and ur gay alt/rock. i listen to death metal/hardcore only, so you can shove that emo sh*t right up your ass. Velvet Revolver sucks c ock. Slash is the only one i respect. so the next time you have a thought.....let it go, cause nobody wants to hear the sh*t that's comin out of ur gay mouth

Okay yeah slash is a kick a$$ guitar player - but that doesnt make him a legend! The word legend should be reserved for those who've made a difference - a difference in the world, in music history. So until Slash makes his big contrabution - (and a few big songs - although awsome - doesn't qualify him) - then leave the term 'legends' to the bug boys!

true true....ok here's a few "legends" then.
Jimi Hendrix ( the f ucking master of all time!)
Randy Rhodes (Ozzy Osbourne)
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Dimebag Darrell (Pantera / Damageplan)
Jerry Garcia (The Grateful Dead)
Allen Collins & Steve Gaines (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Glen Buxton (Alice Cooper)
R.I.P. to all of these music "Legends"

slash is f***in' awsome no matter what sh** goes on or whatever crap you guys talk about. About legends f*** that Slash is a legend no matter how you define a 'legend'.For all of those out there who don't know who GNR is,I recomend you guys go get Appitite for Destruction, their first album.

nobody would give a sh*t about this band if they didn't have Slash. and Vrfan88, i can understand my music just fine, but obviously ur too much of a p ussy to handle real music. this is a metal site, not a site for p ussy a$$ alternative bands. go listen to ur gay sh*t somewhere else.

23. writes:
Why can't you just f*cking grow and realize people like different kinds of music...
And what's with calling people gay? How old are you?!?! If you don't like the music, don't listen to it, because nobody else gives a hot f*ck what the f*ck you listen to!! This is news that VR fans want to read about, if you don't like them why did you read it?

cause i find it highly amusing that little b*tches on this site get so worked up and p***ed off over something somebody said on the internet. don't tell me you take this sh*t seriously? i understand that people like different kinds of music, and thats cool. the aim of my attacks were mostly at Vrfan88, who started this argument in the first place and for acting like a little b*tch. If u talk sh*t to me. i'm gonna talk sh*t back, thats just how it goes.

Bro, you're all making a big sh** about nuthn...all im sayn is that dont talk sh** about something you could careless about..VR may not be metal but why should your cannibal corpse loving a$$ care? i mean its cool rock n roll is all about the b****es...and metal is all about dirty hairy stinky men...but who cares? i dont, im sure you dont either...Suck it up...

To the jackass who wrote that embarrassing comment regarding his personal list of legends that excluded Slash, what in hell is wrong with you. Like how can you sleep at night after saying "Hey! Dimebag Darrel, who did talentless shredding that 90% of at home guitar players do nowadays, is a 'legend' because he recently died. I mean no disrespect to him in anyway outside of his guitar playing, but anyone who wants to sit down and practice scales and exercises all day can do that. I call them nerds. Slash plays "MUSIC" there is a melody behind his solos which are backed by extremely impressive vibrato, legato and, although cliche, passion. He has redefined music for all by making the solo a part of the song rather than a spotlight. The only reason you can get away without calling him a legend is because after GnR came Grunge and then the Emo sh** we hear nowadays so there aren't any guitarists skilled enough to mimic him in the recording world. But yeah, I guess Alice Cooper's guitarist, the Minor Pentatonic-bound Skynard guitarists and Pantera's former shredder deserve to be higher eh? Where would music be without them

revolver wudnt hav nowhere near as many fans without SLASH cos hes an ace guitarist velvet revolver r good but all the crud thats going on wiv slash and axl at the moment i rekon is partly 2 do with the lead singer of vr im probably totally wrong but its makes yer wonder if gnr would av got bac 2gether if slash n them didnt join vr gnr were f`kin legends n they were the gr8est band around wen they were 2gether n they still r the gr8est band now theyve split up they r f`kin legends like alice cooper aerosmith etc etc!!!

32. writes:
yeah, post 28 is a f uckin idiot. how the hell can You sleep at night ya f uckin jackass? how can u say that Dimebag's music is easy to rip off? thats f*cking bullsh*t, and you know it. listen to CFH and tell me that sh*t is easy to play. F uck You, go suck Slash's c ock since ya love him so much ( no disrespect towards Slash, i think he kicks ass)

People need to quit comparing Velvet Revolver to the band members former bands. VR stands alone as a solid rock entity on on their own musical merits. This is pure rock n' roll, something that has SORELY been missing from the musical scene for many years now. VR is NOT a 'supergroup', what they are is a group fo talented musicians with their own unique sound and stage presence. You don't like 'em? Then move along! Go listen to all the suedo *new* rock acts who all sound so much alike today. I prefer originality, talent and all out GOOD rock music with substance.
