Lamb of God Finish Tracking Drums For New CD

LAMB OF GOD have finished tracking the drums for their new CD at Spin Recording studios in Long Island City, New York. Produced by Machine (CLUTCH, KING CRIMSON) and engineered by Josh Wilbur, the follow-up to 2004's "Ashes of the Wake" is tentatively scheduled for release in late August via Epic Records.
LAMB OF GOD will be teaming up with SLAYER, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED for the "Uholy Alliance Tour" beginning in early June. The band may introduce new material from their forthcoming album on the trek.

Lamb of gods AOTW was lacking compared to the previous records but they had to make a name for themselves and get a nationwide follwoing before they release there real sh**

Lamb of God are neither the best thing out there nor flailing miserable mall-core.
They have struck a chord in the popular-underground (yes, there is such a thing) and that kind of resonance does reach the masses....Particularly trend-leading kids who were on to Slipknot and My Chemical Romance before those bands blew up.
LOG can get a little samey sounding I'll admit but the last disk showed the singer hitting new vocal heights and depths. His lyrics are improving rather than getting convoluted and the guitarist are trickey f***ing devils...if you play and instrument you can apprciate it.
I only own "As the Palaces Burn" but I've heard all of their albums at length and while I can come up with several bands I like better, LOG have raised the bar for American metal.
If they were looking tired live it's only because they've been touring longer and harder than any band in recent memory...Major or little label.

This is to the people that say that Lamb of God sucks...maybe you should listen to them? I have to admit the first time I heard them, I hated them, but I wasn't really listening. I went back a month later and listened to 'em again, and now I can't stop listening to them. As I have said to a lot of my friends, you may not neccesarily like their sound, but you do have to admit that when it comes to musical talent, they are at the top of the food chain. The sh** they play is complicated as hell, and they play it note perfect. So, I say again, actually -listen- to them before you try to say they suck. And if that doesn't work, go try to play some of the sh** they do, or trying singing like Blythe, you'll understand what I'm talking about REAL fast.

I just got Ashes Of The Wake today, and it is AWESOME! All of the LoG haters just don't apperciate real talent, cause Lamb of God are very talented and the haters just can't see that. My fav. songs from Ashes of the Wake so far are Laid To Rest, Hourglass, Now You've got something to die for and Remorse is for the dead...but they're all good.

I'll admit that the first album took me a LONG time to warm up to. I bought it on a whim and I wasn't quite accustomed to as extreme metal as I am now. Randy's vocals bothered me the most I think. But after seeing them live and hearing a little more thrash in the guitars, I could appreciate them more. Didn't care for their second effort much, but Ashes of the Wake is awesome. One of the best albums this decade, IMO.
ok oppinion is oppinion at the end of the day but no need to diss lamb of god is there? in the end lamb of god have basicly invented hadcore music (no not piss crying sh** like trivium) REAL hardcore that has evolved into this sh** it is now like all music does so half these trivium and fall out boy bummers here can get some f***ing respect ernd the stupid basterds as u can see it makes me mad when people think they know evrything and the dude saying they looked sleepy of f***ing course they did they always do there funding sucks so they have to sleep in a small tour bus and have rouf nights almost evry night for like 6 month of touring stupid f*** obviosly that dude has no brain eather... so just think... lamb of god never wanted to be big never wanted a recording contract and they somehow got this fanbase and it grew... and 99% of them lisen them properly NOT because there best frend does... like most hadcore sh** why do u think it sells out ha lamb of god are one of the most talented bands on the planet and the lyrical content is unblevble... so true... the drummer is f***ing out of this world the bass and guitars are sick and randy is well... lol AMAZING u can hear his grunts CLEARLY... unlike matt heafy who sounds like he is forcing a lump of sh** out... so if u dont like em why dont u go back to ure fkin emo fourms ey?
How can you hate on the LOG! They are crucial! I saw them like a million times when they were BTP and they still put on the same amazing show! And I mean come on didn't you guys listen to Omerta that song is perfect! later!

The last two dimmu albums are the only ones that impressed me much, and I've been listening to em since a couples years after "All Tid" came out. They have a studio budget/sound that's more...appropriate for what they are.
Which is symphonic black metal....In that foot race they're probably the best act out there...Just not true BM.
As for LOG, the only reason anyone even slaps them with the mall-core label at all is that their on a major label..Something a hundred times more well funded than even Roadrunner and next to 90% of other metal acts they are more well known....If these guys were on Nuclearblast, Century Media or Relapse records alongside Mastodon and Dillinger noone would even think "mall-core"...Just modern/extreme/metal band.

they either better come with their typical straight forward thrash, or incorportate a little bit of the death (like on NAG album). The last one was lacking a little on the creative side, but these guys f u c k i n rule anyway, i just liked as the palaces burn way better than ashes of the wake.
