Exhorder are ausome but they never got out a the under ground and sadly split up after there second album...but! pantera made there first album in 1883 although they mainstream debut was in 1990...exhorder's was in 1990...soooo they did not rip off any band. or riped of each other!
1990: Exhorder - Slaughter in the Vatican
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
1992: Exhorder - The Law

Pantera sounds nothing like exhorder, they diden't rip them off, AND IT IS OBVIOUS THAT KERRY IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE RIFF THAT DIME HAS TAUGHT HIM, so maybe dime taught kerry a few things ya' think? Furthermore exhorder has never sold an album that went platinum. Pantera on the other hand has had every album go platinum. So get your Damn heads on straight Damn it!

Exhorder was thesh** before Pantera hit it big. I was searching for their releases for years (heard of them through a compilation), and was happy as hell when Roadrunner put out a 2-in-1 a few years back with both their albums for the price of one. My take on thier lack of success is that they were a little too much sludge to keep people's attention, unlike Pantera who mixed things up more and had some talent advantage as well. Still, if you heard Exhorder back in the day and then heard Pantera a few years later with their early stuff, there is no denying the influece, both in vocal and guitar styles.
