Avenged Sevenfold will be stopping by Bolling BX Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, where they'll be doing a signing for U.S. military personnel. The band's latest album, City of Evil, features a song supporting the nation's troops titled "M.I.A."

As previously reported, Avenged Sevenfold have been offered a slot on Ozzfest 2006. However, the band has not yet confirmed whether they will accept the invitation.

Yeah that was funny.Ok I bought CITY OF EVIL last Friday..........Ok I'll admit it.I kind of like it not as much as my other weekend experiment MUDVAYNE's new one but I like it.I also sort of take bit my comparison to L.A.GUNS.They are still similar but not that much so.It's more the way they look than on the over all music side but yeah the sound does have element's.The guitar work is remnescent of alot of old 80's influences. All & all no real complaint's ...... YET !!!!!!

From what I know of them, they're a simple amalgamation of melodic metal and hardcore cliches neatly wrapped in pseudo goth attire.

Do yourself a favour, next weekend buy one of the metal albums these guys are doing a bad job at emulating.
