Monolord Premiere New Music Video For "Iodine"

Swedish doom metal band Monolord have premiered a new Victor Crusner-directed music video for their track “Iodine”. The song was inspired by classic '70s rock staples from Lynyrd Skynyrd (“Freebird”), The Eagles (“Hotel California”) and Led Zeppelin (“No Quarter”).

Explains guitarist/vocalist Thomas Jäger:

“Even though it’s maybe not musically similar, I think the vibe is similar. And the opening riff is my tribute to YOB, because I’ve always really liked Mike [Scheidt]’s guitar playing. He does all these weird chords where his fingers are all over the fretboard at the same time. It’s for sure my favorite song on the album.”

“Iodine” appears on Monolord’s latest album, “Neverending”, which was released in late May. The band will be supporting the record with the following live dates over the coming months:
